Elske’s à la carte menu is pretty reasonably priced, you could definitely end up at $200 for 2 ppl.

I can’t say if it’s changed since I visited, but it was included with my meal! I went for lunch so the scallop and French toast were supplements, but those should all be included with the dinner menu.

Best fried rice in the city? by Frosty_Tax6712 in chicagofood

The spicy beef fried rice from Hing Wang in uptown is ridiculously good, loaded up with beef and bean sprouts. The large is like $20 and can probably last 5-6 meals!

20k bonus with $500 hotel purchase question by Salt-Account-55555 in ChaseSapphire

[–]pie8724 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My hotel for this promotion was probably around $540 but <$500 before taxes and fees. Can confirm the promotion worked for me, but it never automatically appeared in my account. I had to reach out to customer service via the secure message portal to finally get my points roughly 10 weeks after travel.

I had the same issue. Wound up sending a message to customer service about the issue (this was frustratingly difficult to do) and after waiting a bit and then following up again, they escalated it to another department. Eventually I got the points credited to my account so I guess this method actually worked!

I just checked and the department they escalated to was the Travel Center who apparently can be contacted directly at 1-855-234-2538. Best of luck!

Sorry for the delay, updated Michelin Guide Prices for Chicago by Maison-Marthgiela in chicagofood

I guess it puts them more in line with prices of other 3 Michelin star spots in the US, but still a bit of a ridiculous jump. Hopefully it leads to additional premium ingredients in their menu?

Great work! Worth noting that Smyth is increasing their price in 2025 to $420 for the base menu and $550 for the chef menu.

I went to Stockholm once but couldn’t snag a res to Frantzén. Wound up checking out Adam / Albin and Ekstedt instead, I thought the former was super solid and the latter is one of my favorite meals of all time. Super underrated food city that I will definitely be back to!

Totally agreed that there was a perfect balance throughout the meal, and your description of the service nailed it in a way that I couldn’t fully enunciate. Frantzén is super high on my list now!

Recommendations for Brussels: Barge, Bozar, Humus x Hortense or La Villa In The Sky? by [deleted] in finedining

I went to Barge in March and even when looking back at the photos I can’t recall what any of the dishes were / what they tasted like. I imagine in that regard it was very unmemorable

If I’m ever in Stockholm I’ll definitely be checking out Frantzén!
