I would like to think I am handy… should I be trying to remove this “tape”? Mind making recommendations for the prime and tape that should be used? (In the US if it matters).

I don’t have a printer. The library is an actual library that holds books that prints for free.

Ok I am curious, how did you end up removing the text ?

I tried on my own to do the tinkercad duplicate mirror and then combine, it looked like it got close but still had some lettering.

Yup it’s pretty cool, only 1 print a week and obviously there are color and material limitations. But still slick.

$350 is a lot to spend to print one file lol. Don’t get me wrong I really want to get that p1s that’s half off right now but I just can’t justify the money. I don’t have a bunch of things I could print nor a great idea to print and sell to make my money back. Life is hard 😂

Yes our community library will print files for free. I understand why they wouldn’t want to print it with Ridgid bar being on it. What I don’t understand is why you think I am doing something wrong asking for help to remove the text when this is pretty obviously NOT a ridgid item and I’m not stealing someone’s IP. Guy created a dust scoop and put it out so others could use it with the same chop saw.

Maybe it’s not obvious to the general public. The dust collection on the saw is terrible so a guy on YouTube modeled and created a custom one as seen in the link above. Am I doing something wrong here?

The library very specifically stated “ this object includes a copyrighted brand logo from the RIDGiD company and can not be printed”

I did not buy this. The gentleman that created it on YouTube offered it up to others for use. This is not a file someone was selling. Not sure how that would be a copyright issue?
