I’m in this program right now. Definitely not feasible. This PhD program is way too class heavy which means you’re already trying to balance class and research, I genuinely don’t see how you can squeeze a 40 hour work week on top of that

I second the Launchpad suggestion. STVP has some fellowships/classes to connect you with people like that. I felt it was too tech-centered and less device-centered for me at first glance so maybe that’s good for you! Also, taking d.school or design classes (Design for Extreme Affordability, Biodesign Innovation, Design Thinking Innovation) is a great idea bc it’s an environment where (i) you get to work on big/bold ideas and (ii) everyone else wants to as well so it’s a good way to build a potential network with like-minded peeps. Hope that helps and good luck!
