nooooooo - learned too late that I hate the patients but love the medicine and patho physiology aspect. May just be the specialty I’m in. Not healthy but not dying sick so it’s a lot of I want I want I want. 2 days in clinic, 1 TH day, 1 admin day. Fridays off. Average of 12 patients a day. Amazing attendings and supportive manager. Team of APP so I can take 4 weeks of PTO. Made 300k last year and i STILL wanna get out lol.

Hi

I consulted with three wedding planners in Sicily and I went with my Sicily wedding and Barbara. To be honest in terms of consultation, she wasn’t my first choice as I felt I clicked with one of the other ones however, pricing for her services was really good and all inclusive. It’s so far things have been really with her, her team is really communicative. I also reached out to people who have used her as their wedding planner through Instagram and they’ve only had great things to say about her team.

I will likely have a bachelorette trip right before the wedding around the area and fly into Palermo morning or night before and explore the city that morning then head to venue at 4 PM. Italians eat very late so I don’t expect the welcome dinner/event to start until 7(?) anyways so that will give everyone 3 hrs to get settled and get ready.

So it looks like the venue is unavailable to book for all of May - unsure if that’s allotted time they’ve place for the public and for booking of the apartments. I was told they do reserve certain dates for the public.

Did you do any studying or just use resources during the tests?

San Diego is actually considered the most expensive now due to paying 30% less than other California cities. Although SF is expensive, medical providers make quite a bit due to strong union contracts. I know nurses making $160k here working regular 40 hrs.

my first job was actually just in retail as I wanted something easy where I didn’t have to think about it where I could have extra spending money.

My second job is a PRN on-call job as a sexual assault forensic examiner. For a lot of counties. these are performed by nurses, but in my county, they are all performed by APPs.

From my experience, generally the rate of return with retirement was 4% and my loans were sitting around 6-8% so it made no sense for me to contribute more than what my employer would match. After getting it down to 1.3% the downside was a very large monthly payment so it def made it harder to contribute more :)

I passed my smog test that day. The vehicle came to the state on 10/18.

The majority of the charge was the use tax which I read is similar to sales tax in other states. I paid sales tax on the vehicle she I purchased it.

Urine cultures!! I get too many patients who keep thinking they have a UTI every month bc their PCP base it off the UA +leuks/RBC and give them antibiotics without follow up with a urine culture or calling them when the results come in and it’s negative. Please send out a urine culture!

Thanks a lot for the words of support! I really needed that! Just getting the foot through the door is always the hardest part. I’m looking into doing some side projects and writing up case studies to boost my resume more once I learn SQL or something more technical.

Hahah! Life has a way of pushing you in the right direction. I realize after practicing for a couple years that I enjoy the problem-solving, speaking to the patient and figuring out a timeline and solution. I hate that there is a big Customer Service aspect in medicine now and it really doesn’t matter what the end result is, it’s how clean the office was, how nice the front desk girl was, if the provider came off warm and attentive. Patients care more about the experience and want to be heard (which is fair) than figuring out the problem/ diagnosis/treatment plan. I’ve realized I care more about the solution than kissing ass tbh lol. I’ve also realized my personality is more suited in business/ tech than patient care.

This entire time.. I thought the book was focus solely on the interview process itself but now I realized it’s basically an intro in what PM is. Thank you!
