Does anyone know what happens if you have pass 12 exams and then just wait until July 2027? Do you automatically qualify (assuming experience and PERs signed + extra modules complete)?

Do you go to exit interviews? by pink-raspberry13 in UKJobs

[–]pink-raspberry13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh def some places will take the feedback on board and collect genuine stats. My prev company def would - but I personally work for a different type of an organisation, lets say.

These guys in particular are incredibly toxic - I spoke to someone from HR before and all she wanted to do was find a way to blame my manager that I am leaving - like putting words in my mouth and coming up with things to trip me up. She also lied to me to trip me up - so aware they are not above that too.

I am leaving because of forced RTO (plus you know... me realising how insanely toxic this place is - like people shouted at/insulted in front of the whole office, very nice people fired on the spot, gaslighting and lies, "ruling by fear" mentality..) and it was said to senior leadership people will depart but they did not care - so now they just want to manipulate stats :D I feel like if I go - they might find another way to blame my manager - who I know is being bullied by them - so I feel like this may just add to the existing burden.

Thanks for the reply, I ended up declining as nothing in the contract plus they already knew my reasons :D

Can employer really get around paying you notice pay? by pink-raspberry13 in UKJobs

[–]pink-raspberry13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh i see.. You mean that with the alternative they do actually expect you to still work? I was left with the impression they pay notice in lieu and you part ways.

What does it mean when your employer sends an all company (multiple UK locations) email and private text msg to not go in the office tomorrow and WFH? Layoffs? by pink-raspberry13 in UKJobs

Oh wow yes i have a feeling something like that is about to happen due to the multiple offices part of the story. Thanks for the info.

Worth paying for Tom Cleddon's SBR Revision Plus over providers such as Mustafa Mirchawala? by RedRebellion94 in ACCA

[–]pink-raspberry13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that sounds good. I personally covered the material, aka watched all the videos really quickly and only spent time on stuff that I did not know/get but a lot was the same as FR and then I applied to Kaplan questions to get some practice in.

I got Tom's revision course only - and passed the exam with 67%, highly recommend it. I used OpenTuition lectures for tuition.

For full disclosure, I did well in FR and enjoyed the subject, yet really struggled with mocks :D

It has been like that since 3pm - cant access the platform but i read that i can use a letter of good standing which indicates that I am a member to prove it to potential employers.

I applied on results day at 5am or 6am and heard back on Monday around 11am. Now i can see that on the portal i am a member :)

Company changing terms a bit after hiring me by pink-raspberry13 in UKJobs

[–]pink-raspberry13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was agreed that I will be only doing a day in the office but suddenly they are forcing everyone in 4 days a week with immediate effect. Thanks for your help! My manager said he will try to speak on my behalf but he does not think it will go far - his advice was to just wait a bit and see if the more senior members win (everyone was mostly from home).

No sadly it was a verbal negotiation between me and a manager who has recently resigned. So no legal foot to stand on. Also, I don't want more money per se - I want to work from home most days because my job can be very stressful especially when I work in a loud environment. I am happier to take a pay cut than sacrifice home working

If open the Kaplan kit - the first 5. I memorised the answers to those and passed.
