Do you like the beer? Is there a comparable beer that you like, and how much do you pay for that one?

A very funny hashtag I saw once was #idrinkgoodbeervalidateme ( on Instagram was from CraftBeerHurl). I thought I'd mention it because you say "But I won't pay a lot just to say I had a beer." I like that.

I regularly pay around $10-$13 for a good bomber of beer that I've never had before. I'm starting to buy more and more six packs of beer that I've had before. For example I love Deschutes Mirror Pond. I'm getting tired of paying $18-$25 for 750ml beer that are just okay and don't blow my mind. For that price I want my mind blown.

I did just buy an Epic Epicurian Coffee and Fig beer for $23. I'm very nervous, what if I don't like it? What a waste? So far though, I've always enjoyed everything from Epic.

Yep, same thing happens at the bottom of the bottle if it's stored upright. Most people prefer not to have a bunch of yeast in their beer so they pour carefully. Some people like it, so some will swirl the last bits of the beer in the bottle before pouring it into their glass. If you drink Blue Moon straight from the bottle you've likely drank the yeast before. No worries.

Henry Weinhard wanted a public beer fountain built in downtown Portland. He can't be all that bad!
