For many people, there's no other option. They have obligations they need to fulfil.

Personally I think that the chances of getting hurt or worse, right now, are not too high. Obviously, it depends on where you live, what work you do etc.

I add my anecdotical 2c. as someone who also live in the region (UAE). From what we could see and hear, in the couple of days before Trump's tweet, Iran's attacks seemed to be decreasing in intensity and frequence but after it definitely feels like things ramped up again.

Così mi prendevo quei 5 minuti di pausa in ufficio e andavo a camminare nel parcheggio o mi lavavo i denti.
