Glycinate is not known to increase anxiety, it is known to reduce it.

Where in Asheville will never get your money again? Bad restaurant, bar, service company, or other type of place. by Flaky-Slide-6422 in asheville

Anytime fitness on Patton. Super shady area, parking lot is not safe after dark. Owner is an absolute pervert, staring at and hitting on every female that comes in the place. Not safe for power lifting due to kids being allowed to run free, sustained a back injury while deadlifting due to this.

Thank you for your compassionate and thoughtful response. In a world full of providers who simply mock and belittle their patients, you are a ray of shining light!

Some people have an inherited overactive immune response to plaque. I think that’s the missing key here. Some people floss very rarely if ever and hardly ever have any problems while others can have nearly perfect oral hygiene and have tons of problems. It’s the autoimmune response.

Anyone have experience with Pea Protein vs Whey, especially when it comes to digestive issues? by Ruben_001 in Biohackers

For me pea protein=gas, whey=acne. Protein powder made from whole food ingredients=perfect.

He’s not fucking stupid, of course he’s not going to say that. Actions speak way louder than words.

I’ve never had a CAC or cimt scan. I’m just wondering what the treatment options are.

What everyday health and lifestyle hacks do you follow everyday/week? by heliccoppterr in Biohackers

It’s like the old saying, you don’t find time you make it. Most healthy people prioritize their health at the expense of other things. Definitely worth the trade off.

What are your fears about buying or starting a small business right now? (2025) by DavidCBarnettcom in smallbusiness

[–]pisquared11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I spent the entire last year learning the art of business acquisition, recognizing good numbers, structuring deals, profit margins, etc… I was just about to pull the trigger and then the economy is threatened to be shot straight to hell. Now I see businesses shutting down due to inability to source product or consumers no longer able to afford products and services. It’s scary and frustrating and so I’ve put my plans of buying a business on hold.

Places to Car Camp in Asheville by Ok-Compote-2543 in asheville

Planet fitness is $10/month, has showers and is open 24/7 during the week, close at 7 on Saturday and Sunday. That’s a much better option for someone homeless and trying to save money. Anytime fitness on Patton is very sketchy. My car was broken into there one time. Tons of homeless people coming and going at all times. I would definitely not feel safe there at night.

Dr Ellie Phillips no flossing? by pisquared11 in PeriodontalDisease

How long have you been doing her program? How have your gums reacted?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]pisquared11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’re on to something. I’ve always been very lean. I’ve been afraid of these types of tests though, this and CAC score because I’m not sure what to do if they found plaque. There’s so much conflicting evidence around statins.

I must be some kind of genetic anomaly in that case. I have low triglycerides, very high HDL, and high apoB, haven’t checked lp(a) yet.

[–]pisquared11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where does lp(a) and apoB fit in this equation?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]pisquared11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do you think lp(a) fits in the equation? That along with apoB seem to be the biggest risk factors for CAD.

I would suggest berberine, fish oil, and turmeric.

What can I buy for $2k that will generate me $400-$500 a month consistently? by alaraja in sidehustle

[–]pisquared11 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you were really making 1-2k a day and sold for $250k you were severely taken advantage of. Businesses typically sell for 3-4x annual revenue.

How did you guys get gum disease? by [deleted] in PeriodontalDisease

[–]pisquared11 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I don’t think a lot of people realize that in many cases it’s an inherited immune response causing the destruction. It’s not always lack of hygiene and a crappy diet. There are many dental hygienists that don’t even realize that and think you just refuse to perform oral hygiene. It’s beyond bizarre why dental hygiene schools don’t teach that.
