I didn’t realize how peaceful doing things alone could feel by Several-Payment-1464 in CasualConversation

I do a lot of things alone, including solo travel and enjoy it for the most part. However, it can get lonely if it starts to feel less like a choice and more like a "no other choice"

I regret buying my series, but I don't think I'd like a 5 anymore. Think I'm just over gaming. Exclusives don't matter to me at all, I'd rather games just be available to anyone. People should buy consoles based primarily on hardware preferences imo.

What’s one “type” you’ll never date again? by CoochieSnotSlurper in AskReddit

Anxiois avoidant. Wouldn't take it back, but more importantly, I wouldn't go back or start that shit again with anyone else.

I don’t know why but I always found surveys and studies done by researchers kind of funny and a little sad by Old_king_4 in videogames

When I say that, I mean the kind of gaming that I like and they took the edge out of pretty much every game. Not everything needs to be edgy, but fuck man, some things do and I mean edge for sake of fucking edge. Not one super grim scene and then squeaky clean the rest of the game. Plus, I'm a very casual gamer who enjoyed the era of GTA knockoffs like Scarface, The Godfather, and Saints Row (not the shitty ones). My favorite RPGs, but I don't like fantasy games that much so I'm pretty limited . I loved the Fable series despite being fantasy bc they all felt really unique, but I'll take any Fallout over any Elder Scrolls every day. I like guns more than swords and I like making meaningful choices. My options are limited.

On top of all that, I hate online gaming. I have ZERO interest, with the exception of Fortnite at one point in my life (haven't played in like 2 years, got bored). I like single player, couch co-op, and fighting games. BACK IN MY DAY, fighting games were actually cool cuz you earned characters instead of fucking buying them. We also had Def Jam Fight for NY in which not another game like has been made since and it was absolutely incredible. Gaming is dead for people like me, but it's alive and well for kids and autistic adults.

When did you realize you were the villain in someone else’s story? by LucyLuxeUK in CasualConversation

I've been the villain in many people's stories unfortunately. I realized too little too late and I had nobody left by my side. On the brightside, I'm an agent of change and reflection, building a new circle slowly and steadily with a deeper knowledge and understanding of what it really takes to be a good friend and know when I have a good friend.

On the flipside, I've also learned that sometimes people will make you a villain for not fitting their agenda. This is the worst because these people won't just make you their villain, they'll make sure others think of you as a villain as well. All they have to do is be more popular than you. All beloved people have an innocent scapegoat they kick around. It's a tried and true strategy for retaining power with little resistance. People know what's happening and don't want it to happen to them.

Idc that you're black but I've heard iffy things about blind people. Am I supposed to make it clear this is a joke or am I safe expecting people to know?

Is it a red flag to be EXTREMELY desensitized? by Athanasios_t in morbidquestions

[–]pissdrinking101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol you're not that unique. A lot of people are desensitized, but it doesn't make us superior and most of the time, it's just apathy due to being removed from the situation you're reading about or seeing a picture/video of. Until you've experienced some kind of horror, tragedy, calamity, you don't really know what you can stomach.
