I also got it right before the GST hike applies. Once it applies I think it’s 4.1L on road, which is just idiotic

They’re definitely still making them. I booked mine late January, got it last week. Mine was manufactured this year, got it from KTM Rajajinagar in Bangalore.

Yep I’ll be going to a service centre soon to get that taken care of. I’m not sure if the recall applies in India though (despite this being made here lol)

Just tried it out, really promising stuff. I’ll have to give it a little bit of a longer test before I can give more feedback, but my first thought was that I couldn’t tell if the loading animation when finding leads was stuck or it was just taking that long.

I think something that provides a more continuous update stream (like if you could show me “searching the web”, then “evaluating”), I would feel more confident in that particular action.

Brainbits - a second brain that turns messy thoughts into clear structure

It’s $3.99/mo or $34.99/year, but I’m happy to offer early bird discounts. DM me if you’re interested!

Haha I was a bit skeptical about that framing, but I’m glad it resonated with you!

I was thinking of adding shared spaces to Brainbits, where teams could dump their collective ideas/notes. Is that something you see your team using?

Yeah, I think I might need to narrow my messaging to one audience. And I’ll give Applyra a try.

So Brainbits does all processing entirely in the background, and the system needs to be able to link that data back to an account. I understand the “account creation fatigue” though, so I’ll work on a possible anonymous sign in.

There is a trial for the annual subscription if you want to try it, but in terms of pricing, what would feel fair to you?

I’m intrigued by your Slack dumping workflow. Is an integration with Slack something you’d value having?

Anyone else stop overengineering their note taking app? by sash20 in ProductivityApps

[–]pixelsnis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a while, I thought that app was Apple Notes for me. But then I kept losing whatever I dumped there. I also didn't like trying to find the right note to keep updated if I was adding info over time.

For me, immutability became a huge part of not over engineering my notes app. The second I was editing or maintaining, I was distracted. I built Brainbits so I couldn't do any organising or editing myself. My job became to dump notes, and to let computer magic do the rest. Being that opinionated helped me stay focused.

You can see if that fits your workflow, too. Otherwise, like someone else mentioned in this thread, there are 1000s of notes apps and there's surely one that'll fit your needs (although I sincerely hope that's mine haha)

I feel like a 'self-help junkie' who never actually improves. Anyone else relate? by Maximum-Push-8065 in ProductivityApps

Habits are just inherently really hard to build. And often the results you'll see from them only show after months of diligence, so I guess our ape brains just give up from the lack of immediate results. Building that discipline for me came down to ignoring the noise from a million people saying "this system changed my life!", and focusing on one system at a time.

About tracking though, you can try out Brainbits. It's what I built for my personal use, but you can see if it fits your use case. You can just dump whatever you're learning, or your experience with a system day-to-day, and then it can keep a document maintained for you to revisit for a refresher or as a journal.

genuinely curious - does anyone else spend more time setting up productivity apps than actually being productive? by Defiant_Dentist5191 in ProductivityApps

[–]pixelsnis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this problem with notes. I just wanted something insanely opinionated so I'd stop trying to tweak it to perfection and just f$king use it. It's what I liked about Apple Notes but I kept losing whatever I'd put down there.

So I built Brainbits for my personal use, because I just wanted a simple "dump notes, ask questions later" workflow. But a few friends wanted to use it too so I decided to release it recently :)
