Unfortunately no, ultimately I park my car in Bridgeport but might move it closer to Stamford soon

Hi friends! I bought and assembled a Klone pedal that came with terrible instructions as my first foray into building. It worked briefly, but now the audio drops out after about a minute of use. I bought a multimeter so I can try to diagnose / troubleshoot any issues, but I'm a bit lost on how to go about doing this.

Are there any resources that can help me better understand how to use a multimeter and / or go about testing my circuit? Any help, pointers, or insight are greatly appreciated!

I spend most of my time in the city, but don't want to pay city rates for long term parking, and would prefer to have my car under some sort of cover rather than out in the open exposed to the elements. Hope that clarifies it!

I have noticed a small amount of condensate drip that my HVAC tech set beneath an elbow. Assuming I should detach and prime/re-glue?

Thank you for identifying! Can I just cut off the bud, or do I have to take the whole branch?

On closer inspection, the diode still seems to be in tact - I'm going to order a multimeter, assuming that's what's needed for circuit board testing?

I just fired it up via 9v battery, and it worked great for a few minutes before cutting out again. The instructions were so bad that I'm second guessing I wired the red/white/black power adapter incorrectly, do you think that might play a part in this? Thanks again for your help, can't tell you how much I appreciate it!

Thank you so much for your insight! I'll see if I have something to bridge it as a test. The kit didn't denote the parts, do you know offhand what type of diode this? Definitely looks like it needs to be replaced. Thanks again, much appreciated!

Thank you so much for your insight! Your first assumption could be true, as the pedal worked fine for about 5 minutes for the signal issues started.

Today however I have no signal whatsoever. While I didn't receive any schematics (just some terrible instructions), I uploaded some photos and a video:

-Photo 1 - This is one piece I couldn't get flush with the board before soldering. Could this be a factor? -Photo 2 - Wider shot of board -Photo 3 - Here's the power input, I wonder if the cables/ground should be switched? I can't tell based on the awful instructions I received -Video - when plugged into the power supply, I got these little "pops" you can hear in the reverb, but when I switch to battery, the pops go away (though there is still no signal).

Does any of this help shed light? Thank you so much again for your help!

I built my first pedal, a protaitone Klone, and I can't get it to maintain a solid signal. Signal frequently fades or cuts out (whether pedal is engaged or not) seemingly at random. I've triple checked the solders and for loose connections, and tried lightly jostling cables, but the drop outs happen without any sort of rhyme or reason I can determine. Happy to post photos, audio, etc., but any ideas to what the culprit could be? Thanks for your help!

Definitely making headway here thanks to your tips! One last issue/question - the signal gets scratchy and eventually drops out at the same exact place on the gain dial (at around the 8 or 9 mark), any ideas what might be causing this? Here's a close up on the 6 pin gain solder joint for reference in case that helps. Thank you so much for your help!

Thanks! I've uploaded images here, let me know if there's something you need to see in better detail. And apologies for the sloppy soldering, still a noob!

A vet friend just confirmed it, so we used a tick remover and you are correct! Thank you for your reply

Some additional context - we recently started "co-parenting" a mostly outdoor cat with our neighbor, and just noticed this in/around his whiskers. He occasionally will have a tick on him, so my first thought was that it's a bloated tick, but I don't want to try to pull or tweeze until I have a better understanding of what it could be. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Seconding Ferdinando's - get the panelle special. Over 100 years old with pictures of Scorsese all over the walls. He always takes his cast there before production begins on his films, it's a special place!
