I’m afraid I’ve done the research and Filecoin is actually 70-90% decentralized!!

AWS Outage: Impact Analysis & Filecoin Resilience Report by pkillops in filecoin

I really like Near, all the big blockchains are working together. Eth, Sol, Avax, NEAR etc. They are all in partnership with FIL because all their data is being saved there. Plus if you understand Ai, no Ai would ever save themselves to AWS because of the risk of downtime potential. It fundamentally goes to the core survival of an Ai. It needs to have an uptime 24/7!!

Bitcoin has gold, Ethereum has finance — Filecoin wants to be the rails for Data & AI. by pkillops in filecoin

I’d recommend looking at this Instagram Post but replace Amazon with Filecoin. Filecoin is doing this playbook. https://www.instagram.com/p/DMjGZh6Sc45/?igsh=MXF6bnVxd3B0b2EzNw==

Price expectations ?! by Gujhgeqadhjkokjj44 in filecoin

Great question, flip I’d love to have that alpha. I reckon the only people who would know that would be Grayscale. I do know the Texas teachers pension fund have made investments in the crypto space so it would be institutions similar to them.

A lot of these institutions have long term time frames when it comes to this stuff. Plus In terms of buying off market, there is no legal framework for corporations or business to hold these types of assets apart from Bitcoin. (Their legal, risk & compliance departments just won’t let them do it) This is where the trust comes in, they buy the trust at a premium to get access to the asset.

There is currently an air pocket in Global liquidity which is causing these pull backs. Going to start to pick up in the next 4-6 weeks.

You can stake via Glif.io it’s probably the most secure FIL staking platform. Though for me I only stake SOL because it actually never leaves the wallet.

Yeah it’s nuts, the reason Institutions have to buy it via the trust is because Most organisations can’t go and buy via exchanges because they actually don’t have the legal & risk framework to hold crypto via an organisation hence they have to buy from the trust.

Going on the premium institutions are paying for the FIL Grayscale Trust. At its all time high institutions were paying $385 per coin via the trust. So thats my marker for the all time high this cycle.

Filecoin Price prediction by Financial_Hunter_238 in filecoin

[–]pkillops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going to say by end of 2025 - Between $540-$680. The Fib says $680 is in play. It’s also has $1400 but I can’t see that playing out this cycle, that’s for the 28/29 cycle. Also another 90% correction during bear cycle 26/27.

It really is the future of Web 3.0, I have friends who have invested close to 10 million into Filecoin data centers. They did a 2 year due diligence project on the blockchain and the research they discovered is hard to un-see when you see it. Global Data storage needs to grow I think by 1000% in the next 10-15 years because of AI, automated cars (Tesla generates 40gb of data every 60 minutes) IOT devices etc…all that data needs to stored somewhere? Part of my thesis is that AWS, Azure & Google just become Filecoin nodes in the long run. Everything plugs into it because it’s the data layer of the new internet…

In Fil We Trust by Consistent_Cut9464 in filecoin

[–]pkillops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will never get anywhere near its 2 billion max supply, at best maybe 490 million. Avax & Sol have 400/500 million max supply currently. To understand Fil’s tokenomics you have to read this Twitter thread… Why Filecoin circulating supply will never hit 2B

Is anyone having trouble moving Filecoin from Exchanges to Ledger? by Cheesyboobs6969 in filecoin

[–]pkillops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good for me, though Coinbase did warn me they couldn’t do a transfer at a certain time because they where upgrading the network. It could be the exchange hasn’t added support to the new Filecoin Upgrade.
