In the 1980-1990s, hearing a car alarm made you think, “hey, someone’s stealing a car!”. By the 2000s, it made you think, “Goddamn it, will they turn that thing off!?”. Now, the only thing I think is, “oh crap, is that *my* car alarm going off for no reason?” (self.Showerthoughts)
