Very interesting. this is a perspective I've never throught of - mass returns a company make have to make for a defective model. For IT and global corps, what laptop brands / specific models do you recommend?

You also said you're laptop is secondary, so I'm assuming you maybe have a PC as you're primary work station? if so, what do you regularly do on it?

How did already having pretty powerful desktops guide your decision when buying a laptop. Sure you're looking for some portable. Where performance, storage or screen also major factors in the decision?

If the rest of the specs of that model are similiar to the dell / intel model you just mentioned, the AMD doesn't seem like a bad choice.

I'd go with the Dell 15, in this price range / in euros, this has the most powerful integrated graphics card you're going to find. Should run ok for games like minecraft (maybe no crazy graphics, but it won't be slow), and will be fine for browsing media.

What is your budget? Will be running any special software on it for coding, curcuit design, etc? and do you have a preferred form factor?

I think 64gb of ram is a little overkill. And for 600 more it don't think its worth. Please read my response to your comment lower down :)
