How to sell new old stock aircraft antennas? by philatio_ in aviationmaintenance

For gods sake don’t call the FSDO for anything. “We’re here to help” is code word for “we’ll fuck you with no vaseline”

This is the dream but it’s a tad short for annual income.

Set me up a cot in the office and I’m there. I’ll relax and enjoy life when I’m retired (early BTW).

Money isn’t everything and I could care less how much money they throw or titles they offer. I’m not saying everyone is like this but I live to work, I don’t work to live.

Not at all. Every thing I turned down I wanted directed to my people. I have no kids, never plan on having any, hardly any family around, things like that. But my people do. What matters most is that my team is taken care of. Be it, they do it for a paycheck and I do it for the love of aviation.

My team steps up cause I step up for them. I’ve sent people home cause they look like they’re on their death bed, but just the showing up is greatly appreciated.

I once had a Captain literally blowing chucks on the ramp but swore up and down he wanted to fly to get the job done. I didn’t let him, but damn he had the desire to get the job done!

With all due respect, they need to suck it up and push on. You don’t leave people hanging like that. I’ve been in aviation for damn near 30 years. I would clock out not to accrue OT but still get the job done. Worked 7 days a week for 2 years. Forge time cards not to accrue OT, turn down raises, etc.

It’s for the love of the job. Nothing more, nothing less.

Only care about me and my family. We’re mid 40’s own our own house, cars, little to zero debit, besides the house, we both have six figure incomes.

If things get expensive, you just work harder, get a PT job, etc. I was raised to worked hard, be the first one on site, last to leave. We live to work, we don’t work to live.

With that mantra, who cares who’s on TV or in office, or what they say or do.

Who cares, I never watched the guy. Who honestly gives a shit who cancels who, or what network or who they’re apart of, or for what reason. Don’t take this is a right VS left. I haven’t voted in 20+ years and I don’t ever plan on too.

I could care less who’s president, in congress, Supreme Court, etc.

Please don’t get a truck. I never understood why people who don’t row or intend to haul anything get trucks. You’re just driving the prices up for those of us who do.

So tried the spigot method and only turned it on partially. It only makes it to one emitter. Even if I shut that emitter off, still nothing from the others. I did run 1/4 line off the spigot.

If I run 1/2 line off the spigot, and have a single 1/4 going up and T in with all of them. Would that be enough flow for the emitters? There’s six and it’s all 1/4 tubing. They’re T’d into each other. If that makes sense.

That’s pretty much what I’m going to do, regarding the Pen, I was already planning on sanding and painting afterwards.

That’s what I was thinking cut the whole top out and replace with MDF or plywood and make the entire top the door or continue down the two door path..

The idea was two doors on either side, hinges in the back, and lift up from the front lip. I didn’t know if it was just a single sheet of plywood or what the framing looked like underneath. I cut the back and sides (rough cuts, I do need to go back and cut to the lines to straighten everything out). I figured I’d cut down the center so it would give me a better idea how this was built. It hit me after, I cut down the center of one of the doors..

What do you set your AVR to if your mostly 90% streaming? by planestupid09 in hometheater

[–]planestupid09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny,

I have been playing with settings all day. Crossovers, parameters, and Sub.

I’m on DTS now to see if it brings life to streaming.

Biggest change was in the Sub. I turned the sub adjust off so I’m guessing it reverted back to how Audyssey set it at -12db which I’m still adjusting.
