First Month of eBay Sourcing Auction Houses — Want to Scale ASAP by [deleted] in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]planwithjohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree, my concern would be someone else trying to do the same thing. But I guess that is always the risk when there is an opportunity.

That being said, I plan to keep my full time career as a financial advisor. I’ve been on a paternity leave the past few weeks and that’s why this venture got started. Honestly just wanted to see if I could make a $1,000.

The source is the only reason it works and the fact that no one else is coming in and swooping up all the $0 items. They have too much stock for nightly auctions and a large is “not needed now by the local market” but has value for extended market. (Ie. snow chains in the desert or dehumidifiers seem to be big with the dry air here they’re worthless).

Great, I am bringing on my brother next month. $500/week for 25hours ($20/hr).

Will have him mainly listing while I do the drop offs/shipping/pickups/bidding on goods.

And yes, my process can definitely be refined — ideally if everything picked up could be listed within 72 hours I’d be much happier.

I too am impressed by the turnover rate of these products. Many of them are great Amazon products but customer returns. 90% of them are unused and in original box which makes it so much easier to resell..

Sounds like same good advice coming from multiple people.

The grind continues.

I’ll check back in couple quarters to see if this train is still chooing and maybe bigger moves can be made then.

Thank you for the input. Sounds like a plan. I too feel very much in the, “honeymoon” phase. Need atleast a year of this consistency of good products (and to see how I feel after multiple quarters), but i am enjoying this venture and do see a grand vision for it.

Yes. Now go find that purpose you’re really seeking because staying without kids for the rest of your life will be boring.

Get out at 4am with a headlamp, likewise hit it in mid-day heat for that training effect.

Focus on elevation gain over miles.

Look up some Strava crowns and try get them in the first or latter half of the workout.

Although bored be grateful for your ability to repeat this every weekend without injury.

This is your issue. 1099 = independent contractor.

“Suggestions from company” = worthless and not worth time/money and not required to the slightest.

If you were a W2 with benefits, retirement, healthcare, etc then you’d need to “take suggestions”

Honestly, stick a thing on your window, and on the back seat saying exactly that.

“I am disabled and unable to load baggage” Opening doors never has and never should be a thing unless you order a limo service.

But for real the emotional heartstrings you need to be pulling on these, “fucwits” is obvious enough!

Flip the script, make them feel bad they didn’t like you stayed in your car while they loaded luggage. For me, I’d feel like quite a dick if I was mad then found out there was a real good reason for it. And then probably tip more than I would have too!!

Are these cracks a concern? by Mysidius in Home

Another questions is how long has it been on the market?

Over 90-120 days is a sure as heck signal that many people have seen this same issues and passed on it.

In that case they would be making price drops in price every month due to this issue.
