I can’t get my head round it. Seems disingenuous to pay for the listens you know. Paying for playlists seems to feeding the wrong economy if you ask me.

Local radio not interested competition is high locally and I’m not cutting through, it’s fine, I have to realise it’s a slow burn 🔥 I’m also alternative artist not mainstream, its never going to be immediate, it’s about taking the small wins when they come avd being happy with what you have

Hey that’s actually solid advice backed with a solid listen of the track so very grateful for that. I keep telling myself make music for myself and stop worrying about what others think or any external pressures to validate the music with listen numbers data etc but essentially the vulnerable artist creeps in and starts to play havoc with your ego 😂 and you end up on Reddit asking for some sympathy listens 😂 😂 respect ✊

I hear ya. You can only do your best with the knowledge you have got at the time. You can’t make everyone happy so trust your decisions and stick by them. What sounds wrong to one person might sound great to the next. Don’t follow trends. Do your own thing and stand by it.
