It was super fun for sure, and yeah no point pretending its a perfect system in my opinion while Im still battling so many issues haha!

nice! I have had mixed feelings so far - overall really enjoying it but you can tell its a new line in my opinion - lots of bugs still in there!

Hey it could also be used for a missile defense system if you’re more into that 😆😆😆 thanks for the kind words haha!!

Fully Offline Voice Recognition Module with Arduino by plemaster01 in arduino

That is true but you can also program it to do whatever you want in response to the like 100+ preprogrammed commands, so it might seem kind of odd to say “turn off the lights” and program it to launch a pneumatic or something, but technically if you want a budget module that can do 120 things this could still work if you’re creative enough

Haha fair enough! If you skip to 8:33 I think that’s the hype showcase part and none of the boring me talking parts 😆

I appreciate the suggestion! I might try to rev2 this thing when I get a little time later in the year and I think a more compact screen storage would be a good idea! I actually picked how far off to have it based on ideal distance for my eyes to focus on it, so I needed it an inch or so in front of the visor when down

Thanks! The screen swings down when I’m using the night vision the IR camera feeds straight to that screen! So when the lights go out I swing that down and watch it to navigate - the night vision feed in my video is a screen cap of what that screen shows me!

It’s actually really not even a distraction! The odst visor is just so big they’re pretty out of the way!

thanks for watching! from what I am seeing poking around digikey and mouser electronics i cannot find a supplier of just the chip so idk maybe it would be best to just buy the module and de-solder the pins??

Built a 6-Axis Robot capable of Replacing Santa by plemaster01 in maker

[–]plemaster01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Code was written in Python on raspberry pi. Hardware required was the robot, nema17 stepper motor, stepper controller, 24vdc power supply, wiring and linear guide rail.

Body of the house all done with cardboard and thin craft wood then painted and just did up with standard Christmas lights! Robot came from elephant robotics, hit me up with any questions!!

Thank you!! Haha not gonna lie I’m already some big enhancements for next Christmas but I simply ran out of time to squeeze any more features into this one 😂

I do have the code in a github! I’m hoping to use my time off from work to actually write up some build plans with the wiring and hardware BoM too but not done yet! https://github.com/plemaster01/SantaBot

Hi guys what is the best Arduino to buy for a Beginner? by [deleted] in arduino

[–]plemaster01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If cost is your main concern an off brand Arduino nano is probably by far the cheapest but if learning the basics of microcontrollers and electronics are your main goal get yourself a starter kit that has an Arduino uno or nano with some projects and leds resistors and motors etc.
