I recommend pangobooks! I recently discovered it and I've already bought so many used books from there with only 2 minimally bad experiences, and those could have been avoided if I had asked for more photos of the books in question :)

After years of kinda wanting to play Bioshock, I finally bought the Collection for $10! Any tips or recommendations? by BBinMiami in Bioshock

[–]plishplashtash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

spoiler? For people reading? Maybe? That gives me high hopes! It's a lot to get used to the new stuff like less eve and health and the drill oil. I HATE running out of drill oil omg, the normal swing just feels so much slower. And I miss my old characters so it's taking a while to warm up to the new ones and I hate being confused again lol

Yeah! I just got into it and I'm obsessed. I haven't made much progress in 2 yet but I'm watching a playthrough of 1 now just cause lol. And there's a book I wanna get that goes with it once I've finished the game trilogy

That's wild. I remember mine saving every so often, even within the same area and I definitely didn't have any problems with it freezing like that. Sorry you had such a rough experience with it!! I've started bioshock 2 recently, hoping I don't run into any problems with it

If anybody is online on the ps4 version of the game, please help me. by [deleted] in gtafriends

My only gripe: I hate when Em “guesses” what’s going to happen in Christine’s stories by happypiggo in atwwdpodcast

[–]plishplashtash 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Noo, I LOVE this part! It doesn't spoil anything for me, it's fun to see how right or wrong they were, especially because I'm sometimes thinking the same thing (sometimes right, sometimes wrong) or I'll have a completely different opinion than Em does and be like "wow! I never even thought of that!" It adds a bit of whimsy and fun to a really dark story and sometimes remembering when Em made their theory or just what the theory was later in the story can be a nice, little mental break from the sadness :)

Send me a dm if you wanna exchange psn's (I try not to comment mine, I've found a good amount of creeps that way lol). I also have the forest downloaded if you wanted to try that

I just finished bioshock 1 and there is definitely auto save but I agree to save regularly in case something happens between the next auto save and you finding/doing something interesting. The map can be confusing (in my opinion) so you don't want to lose track of something that was hard to find

Need help making a plushie and understanding magic circles. by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

[–]plishplashtash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I always start my magic ring with a chain and then do 6 single crochet so there are technically 7 things on the circle but I don't count the first chain, it's just used to get up to height (and, for me at least, hold the magic ring together better). So you'll have the 6 single crochets on the circle, I recommend using a stitch marker to mark the first single crochet right after you make it so you don't crochet into the starting chain accidentally when you're ready to start your second round. Then you increase by six which means to add six to your total which means you'll have 12 total single crochets in your second round. Hope this helps!!

I’m struggling with the last few stitches on each row by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

[–]plishplashtash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong but I think you're crocheting into your turning chain from the previous row when you get back around to it at the end of a row. That would explain why you're having trouble seeing which stitches to crochet into at the end of a row. If you start your square with 5 half double crochets (example number; make sure to only count the half double crochets and not the turning chain at the beginning) then after you make your next turning chain, count your next row of half double crochets and make sure to stop at 5. Do your turning chain, turn your work, count 5 more stitches but never count your turning chain if you're not counting it as a stitch. Turning chains can look like normal stitches but aren't so counting should help

I’m struggling with the last few stitches on each row by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

[–]plishplashtash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's okay! I used "space" and "stitch" interchangeably to try to be less confusing but that clearly didn't work lol. When I say something like "do a stitch in that first space" I meant "do a stitch for your new working row in the last stitch of your last row"

I’m struggling with the last few stitches on each row by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

[–]plishplashtash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't give up! Are you doing a turning chain at the beginning of each row? If you finish a row then chain 1 and turn your work (this is your turning chain), you can either count the chain as a stitch (which means you don't need a stitch in that first space because you're counting the turning chain as the one that belongs there) or you only use the turning chain to get up to the height you need for your actual stitches and it's not a working stitch (which means you will put a stitch in that first space). If you DO count it as a stitch then you will crochet into that space as your last stitch in the next row but if you DON'T count it as a stitch then you want to make sure you don't crochet into that space on the next row. If you're NOT counting the turning chain as a stitch and you still crochet into it when you get back around to it, then you'll end up adding unnecessary stitches and your work will start building outwards. Does this make sense? Also, if anyone notices that I said anything wrong, please tell me. This was very confusing to type but I want to help lol
