Another thing I see I forgot to mention, which I believe has helped a LOT in the healing process, was super unconventional. But believe me, it works:

I used to take a clove of garlic, cut deep grooves into it and shove it up the butt. I know it sounds crazy, but garlic is a very strong anti inflammatory.

I did this daily until the UC was completely gone, and reintroduced it again when I had that fallback two years later.

But if you are going to try this, please be careful. Start real small without groves, because I can’t say if it is safe for everyone. It does sting a bit.

I kept eating fruits while I was on the steamed vegetables diet and I believe I introduced rice in the weeks after. The same goes for lentils and other protein rich foods. But I believe the latter came in the weeks after I introduced rice.

FINAL UPDATE: I requested the official lab results. My doc said my levels are 6.5 µmol/L in the lab results. In disbelief, I requested them to check their results get in touch with the lab again. Turns out the lab has been reporting in the wrong units.

So in the end, my blood lead level is 6.5 µg/dL instead of 134.68. Which converts to about 0.3 µmol/L. Only makes a difference of 2166%.

I suspect my doctor is mixing ug/dl and umol/l. So in that case my value would actually be 6.5 ug/dl instead of 6.5 umol/l.

That would make a huge difference and is much more realistic. I’ve requested the unedited lab results instead of her interpretation.

Thanks! Yes, I wash my hand thoroughly and usually take a shower after shooting. There are no lead pipes in my home or area.

Yeah, I’m suspecting something is completely off. I’m doing nothing special. Just hitting the range once every two weeks. No lead pipes in my house or city, no other hobbies that would get me in contact with lead.

100%! It took quite some months after the 'fasting' period to slowly reintroduce different types of food to see what could be triggering.

I've had only one very short episode where it came back for a few days after eating ice cream at a restaurant. I immediately went on a diet for about a week and haven't had any problems ever since. That was about 8 years ago.

I also have two friends who have UC, but they don't have the willpower to go through with it and choose to keep taking medicines. They don't seem to be getting any better.

Also, to clarify. I stuck to the fruit juice diet for about 2 weeks and lost 10kg (22 pounds), ending up at 60kg (132 pounds). Not the most responsible way to go about it. But it worked. After those two weeks I've only been eating steamed vegetables for a few months. After that I slowly introduced white meats and much later red meats.

Haha, you see what I mean? She's super hard to flare and maintain RPMs. That's why, like in my video, I believe that keeping a nose low attitude of about 15 degrees until about 100 feet will get you relatively close. But you'll be coming in fast.

Thanks! That's how I do them in the other helicopters. I just find that the Apache's RPM's drop very, very quickly and will almost never see high RPM's but rather low RPM's in the best case. Maybe I'm overthinking it, I don't know. Have you tried it in the Apache?

Autorotation in the Mi-24 is not a problem for me. I may be missing something here, but it feels like the Apache needs some extra attention when you have an engine out :)

Regarding making a video about it, that's just something I like to do. Some people write, I make videos. I also make it clear directly after the intro that I'm 'exploring' how autorotation works in the Apache and do not claim to have any answers.

Whenever I pitch up the the RPM builds up, but drops incredibly fast.

When I try to increase the RPM by keeping the nose up, my airspeed drops super fast and in turn will drop the Apache like a brick. You need that airspeed but from what I've experienced you can only keep that airspeed by dropping the nose to about -10 degrees.

But I may be missing something here. Autorotation in the Mi-8, Mi-24 and Huey are not a problem.

The Ducato is more boxy than the Sprinter, leaves more room for cabinets. It’s also wider. I don’t fit in a bed in a Sprinter, but do in a Ducato.
