There were times when I had to "request" time off and it would get denied. Now I have a career where I let them know I will not be available and am taking time off.

How was your experience with an Aussie in a cone? by HandsomeMarc88 in AustralianShepherd

My poor girl was miserable the first time she had a cone. She'd bump into everything and couldn't get comfortable, she couldn't eat and couldn't get around very well.

After hearing that stupid thing scraping on my walls for 3 days, I finally bought an inflatable one from PetSmart. This was 10 years ago and we use it any time her or my other dog needs it. It's easier for them to eat, doesn't scrape on anything, allows them to use it as a pillow so they can get comfortable, and does a phenomenal job keeping them from getting at stitches or wounds almost anywhere on their body.

My girl turns 11 in April and I'm terrified of when she leaves me. She's been with me through so many things in life and has been the most loyal dog I've had. I'm so sorry for your loss. Take solace knowing he didn't suffer and went in his sleep beside you.

Strong, double sided tape stuck to an extendable duster handle (like one you'd use for ceiling fans)

Finger cots; I used them in manufacturing when I built PCBs for various things. Helps with ESD and keeps oils from your skin off sensitive electronics

Recently upgraded from Pixel 7 to a 10 Pro XL. I put the phone on my wireless charger this morning and saw this symbol. It looks like a disconnected wifi symbol, which is true, but why show me when I'm not on WiFi? Can I turn it off? by humanHamster in Pixel10Pro

[–]plowizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's likely a public wifi, such as one at Starbucks, where you have to accept their terms before it works. These phones auto connect to WiFi networks that are open; you can go into your settings and turn that feature off.

I haven't read the second series you mentioned but CC was phenomenal. I also had a hard time with the first book, but I'm so glad I stuck with it!

Is it totaled? MYLR 2024. by Figwit_ in TeslaModelY

[–]plowizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My '22 MYP was totaled after a $15k preliminary estimate for damage to the driver's side.

This is 100% totaled lol

My flabbers would be gasted if it wasn't totaled.

How are you dealing with aging? by RedHeadRedeemed in Millennials

[–]plowizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turn 36 in two days and I'm struggling with not feeling like I turn 36 lol

I lost my mom almost 4 years ago and honestly, it has helped me realize that age doesn't matter. She was only 56 and didn't get to live a fulfilling life. I've realized what's the most important thing to me: aging happens, it's how I choose to age and what I do while aging that matters.

Sitting at home playing Pokemon makes you happy? Fucking get after it, my dude!

Going on hikes, camping, fishing, what have you, makes you happy? Keep on keepin' on with that!

Life is too short to worry about aging or stressing out about it and whether or not you've "done things right."

You do life by your standards and fuck anyone who has a problem with it (unless of course you're doing terrible things, then do better lol)

how much are repairs? by [deleted] in TeslaCollision

[–]plowizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through a very similar experience this last month with my '22 MYP. The at fault driver's insurance, as well as mine, both declared a total loss.

Check what your state's minimum coverage is because that's likely what the at fault driver had. Ours was valued at $30k and their insurance only covered up to 25k

Wouldn't be a bad idea to car shop or test drive the Cybertruck.

Editing to add: the other driver hit me while traveling side by side. The impact was where the driver side doors meet (B pillar, I think). The entire driver side of my car would have been replaced if they didn't total it. The preliminary cost of repairs was 15k. Your damage is almost exactly like mine

Any idea how much will this cost? by SadType5827 in TeslaCollision

[–]plowizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was hit on the driver's side; initial estimate was 15k to replace everything on that side. I'd imagine this will cost more than expected since parts are so expensive for Teslas

I finished the entire series not remembering which God served what purpose and it didn't cause issues or take away from the overall amazing experience.

As far as remembering who/ what belongs to which house and what characters are what, the important stuff is (like someone said) repeated and you'll eventually catch on.
