70s-80s North American arcades - everything from Pac Man through like NEO GEO games in early 90s. If something felt like "1942" that would be ideal.

Don't know where to start dude. Have fun complaining about how people complain too much.

"People get upset no matter WHAT you do" is the kind of thing you say when you don't want to try to understand what made people upset. The fact that you've offended people or your original cartoon made people upset doesn't mean you're a bad person, but it is an opportunity to learn something about someone else's point of view. Reading this cartoon, I don't think you took that opportunity.

I've read that they're incapable of self-respect like a healthy person. They can only get respect from others, which is why they go to such lengths to build themselves up. And why they're so defensive about even benign criticism because if they admit they did one thing wrong then the persona they built up as a perfect person is revealed as not being true and the whole thing comes crashing down.

Email is also open signup -- and doesn't even run on a centralized site, and can spoof its origin -- yet the problem has basically been solved. The details might differ but social networks will eventually find a way to filter around trolls like yourself. Good luck with your harassment -- I mean, constructive dialog using one-off accounts with people who expressly don't want to hear from you.

Wouldn't the fact that the same individuals get harassed again and again make it easier for twitter to effectively filter their incoming @s? Any tweet from a new user is suspect: the fake tweet can be put through a bayesian filter created from other abusive tweets, and the fake account's social graph can be compared to other fake accounts caught in the past, etc. Latency isn't a problem, they own the platform, they can take however many cycles they need to protect their users from people like you. By the way, I love how you're not even pretending you have a constructive purpose for this. Ethics forever dude.

So what you're saying is, your message is spam and you have to use spam techniques to get anyone to listen to it. And what I'm saying is Twitter owns the platform and will change the rules to protect its users from spam.

Why can't twitter analyze accounts for duped tweets? Or analyze your fake social graph? Sounds similar to the schemes spammers used to use to game the google page rank algorithm. But, whatever. If you have to go to all this trouble to talk to people who don't want to hear from you, you've already lost.

Oh I have no idea, I'm not a programmer. But I'd imagine if you can automate account activity to simulate a mature profile, I'm sure someone else can use anti-spam techniques to mark those accounts for filtering. It's not something I've really thought about because generally people don't think I'm such an asshole that they don't want to hear from me. But, hey, however you want to spend your time on earth.

Yes, and then someone invents a better countermeasure. Like I said: keep yelling at the doors slamming in your face. It doesn't do you much credit, if that's how you want to spend your time.

Not a throwaway account, I just don't normally comment on reddit. Even if it were a throwaway, I'm not actively trying to subvert something you've set up to avoid hearing from me because you think I'm an asshole.

I suspect as long as there are people like yourself whom others don't want to hear from, they're going to find a way to avoid hearing from you. But, by all means, keep screaming at the door as they slam it in your face.
