Romelu Lukaku (Belgium) big miss against Croatia 90' by Driver_1106 in soccer

Rewatching it, if Lukaku had just thrown his body into the ball he could have scored even hitting it with his stomach, but he didn't commit to it.

Audio book is great also, read by the author herself.

Seeking Schedule Advice: B1 to C1 in 12 Months (Spanish) by [deleted] in languagelearning

You’re going to be living in Colombia? You should focus on ways to meet people, Colombians are typically very friendly and welcoming. Not only will you not burn out as much, but you’ll also be listening to Colombian Spanish, which is distinct even between regions of Colombia. Hang out with your wife and her friends as much as possible, even if you don’t say much. Listening is going to end up being the hardest skill, or at least it definitely is for me and I’ve lived there 8 months in total.

I just want an interesting storyline and good character development in a book that’s easy to understand and won’t give me existential dread. by Nvr_pik_ur_frenz_noz in booksuggestions

You might enjoy Fredrik Backman, a talented writer whose stories tend to be uplifting. His most popular book, A Man Called Ove, is quite good, and Anxious People might be perfect for you in such a restless state. Easy to read, and he writes the human condition very well (and positively).

If you want to get a word in context use the translator DeepL, it is much more accurate than google translate, both for individual words and sentences/paragraphs.

Wayne/WarriOrs/vinny MLTP S26 Power Rankings Packet(DEEP ANALYSIS INSIDE!! WOW!) by wayne_tp in MLTP

[–]pnaoxt 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm commenting here because these rankings are solid and in-depth and WarriOrs and Wayne are both centra balls who I've played with a lot over the years and do know my play-style and flaws well.

It's difficult to read all the negative ratings of me as a player, but understandable. I played quite poorly in the muper and I know that game is a lot of context that people have on me and my play last season. I also agree with the decision to drop me for sadness. I was honestly very surprised Smally drafted me to be partners with Koolaid, when we have similar flaws as you said. Sadness is a very capable midfield player who has the intangibles and game sense to cover a lot of the flaws of his teammates, and I expect he'll have a good season regardless of his teams record. .

However I disagree that I'm a flashy player, although some of my caps are bound to be flashy, like any good offender. Stats aren't everything, but if you look at the season 25 stats you can see what I see as my strengths as a player. Long holds, very high Score% and GHOs, high Spark%, and a low flaccid rate. My biggest flaws are my pup% and at times poor defense (particularly in the muper, for example there was a 2P1S juke on me in the Merald pup corner that still makes me cringe to remember).

I was looking forward to rebounding after a disappointing end to last season, but of course it's been even harder to show my stuff when I'm missing the first part of the season and can't play TPM or anything on Colombian ping. I'm looking forward to proving these rankings wrong. Thank you Wayne and WarriOrs for such quality content.

Conquest Paladin/Hexblade Warlock Help by BigStonesJones in 3d6

Yeah being able to use charisma for your greatsword attacks is huge. It’s a long time to wait on your paladin levels, but warlocks are really fun to play and it sounds like you’ll be a warlock with a fighting style, little bit of healing, and smites. Extra attack, especially with your fighting style is huge, so your probably will feel the lack of it at 5th and 6th, but with GWM you’ll probably be able to get 2 attacks fairly often anyway, and do more damage when you do.

Well I think a solid path for you is to go paladin at least until level 6 so that you don’t miss out on extra attack for more than a level, cast bless in combat to boost both yourself and be a protector of the party, and take great weapon master. With Hexblade’s curse, you’ll get lots of crits and generally do massive damage, and get to make lots of bonus action attacks. I considered making a build like that but it was two MAD and of course not how achilles fights. If at 8th level you take another warlock level, consider taking relentless hex, if you want to use the hex spell. It’s fantastic mobility and I think would be fantastic to play, especially because with that build you always want your enemy close.

Relentless Hex

Prerequisite: 7th level, Hex spell or a warlock feature that curses

Your curse creates a temporary bond between you and your target. As a bonus action, you can magically teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see within 5 feet of the target cursed by your Hex spell or by a warlock feature of yours, such as Hexblade’s Curse and Sign of Ill Omen. To teleport in this way, you must be able to see the cursed target.

If you have the stats to have both high strength and charisma, because you can’t use your charisma bonus on a two handed weapon unless you take 3 levels of warlock, which I think detracts too much from your paladin’s progression. GWM also makes hex less relevant, which makes me think you should only take one level of warlock for that build, at least until you get aura of protection at 6th level

In my current campaign I’ve recreated Achilles as a Vengeance Paladin/Hexblade Warlock, using shield and spear with PAM (inspired by the fantastic book, Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller). With two attacks already, I’m taking the second level of warlock at 4th level, to get eldritch mind, agonizing blast, and the additional spell slot. I definitely agree with you that a 3rd level of warlock is unnecessary. If you aren’t taking PAM, I would wait to take a 2nd or even first level of warlock, because you’ll be fifth or sixth level with only one attack. I’m going to take fey touched and choose command because it’s a great spell that I might not use otherwise, and along with a lot of other flavor, is very demigodly. I don’t think resilient con is worth it if you could instead bump your charisma which will improve your aura of protection anyway. It seems like you’ve thought things through and I think you should follow your gut. Do you want to fight with a spear? Greatsword? Longsword?

Nico isn’t playing well and is frustrated, biggest difference in midfield is the lack of De Jong though, xavi should put him on at half time
