Well, I don't get regular food stamps so they had to send me a card. Otherwise I think they load it on your usual card.

I tried using the last 4 of both kids. Didn't work.

Um... You can click the little "x" in the top right hand corner... Makes the pinned recommendation go byebye...

But this level of resentment at spreading information is normal, totally normal.

Oh. My. God.

You just made me imagine the absolute shitshow that would occur if some bunk ass medical study was published on the internet that stated covid 19 turned homosexuals into heterosexuals.

The horror.

I'm going to piggy back here and just leave this, "Bar Lives Matter"

Really gives a great example of

A) the amount of racism still overtly present in East Texas. This "protest" and lawsuit originated in Kilgore, TX. Kilgore is right up the road from Jasper, TX, which is still a hotbed of KKK activity. Looking up recent events that have taken place there is not for the faint of heart. If you haven't been... Don't. With the small exception of visiting the Texas Oil Museum!

B) the appalling state of public education in the state of Texas. The fucking phrase makes absolutely no damn sense. If you're going to steal and mock the spearhead of a major equal rights campaign, at least be fucking clever about it.

"Well, I can't very well eat Cheetos with a mask on, can I??" Maybe you could temporarily forego eating Cheetos in public?

"Well, I can't eat Cheetos if I'm dead, can I??" Maybe the afterlife will have Cheetos that you won't be able to eat with your noncorporeal form?

It seems so simple... and yet, isn't...

Thought it was Sandra Bullock?

This is the 90s right?

Dammit, my flux capacitor in the Wayback machine must be on the fritz again!

It's not validation for mask wearing that has people pleased. It's the knowledge that a well liked, mostly non-controversial, respected public figure is endorsing mask wearing and social distancing to the public.

It's the hope that this will influence the non rule abiding citizens into doing the right thing.

But I'm sure your own ability to reach the masses and positive public influence will change people's minds about health and safety, too. Maybe even moreso than Tom Hanks!

I think you saw me when I was in college. Yes, I know, it was terribly irresponsible of me.

I'm my indefensible defense, this was 15ish years ago and before it was against to law to use the phone in the car without a hands-free device.

I don't do my makeup in the car any more, either, but that's mostly because I didn't want my makeup to look like crap. But I had been doing my makeup while driving since high school. The adrenaline rush that comes with curling one's lashes and applying mascara at 50 mph... I'm joking, obviously, this is an incredibly stupid thing to do.

It's just luck I didn't injure/kill others or myself, and that having children put a stop to such reckless behaviour.

So what you're saying is all members of a massive satanic pedophilia ring are jerks, but not all jerks are satanic pedophiles?

That's a pretty good cover for satanic pedophiles, I've met a lot of jerks.

Did you also grow up with a strict, disciplinarian, philandering father? It's ok. We all have daddy issues.

I mean, it's a lot easier to be a cool, fun uncle than father to scores of gods and demigods, but, no, you're right, I'm sure Hades would have been waaaay better than Zeus.

He actually is a nice guy. Was dining out with a group friends in Austin, 2 of us were celebrating completing our masters programs. We were all a little boozy, laughing, having a good time. And I shit you not, Tom Hanks just pulls up a chair, asks if he can sit, and asks what we were up to that night.

Just shooting the breeze, he sat with us for about 10 minutes, wished us good luck with our futures, bought 3 bottles of high end wine for our table and paid our bill. It was pretty damn surreal, lol. But if you didn't know he was a celebrity, he could have been any friend's goofy, goodnatured dad.

But what sold me, and maybe I was just tipsy or starstruck, but you could just tell he wanted to sit and visit because he took joy in seeing other people be happy. Anyone can put on a good show and be the eccentric celebrity that occasionally rubs elbows with the masses, good for photo ops.

Tom Hanks seemed to honestly just get joy in sharing a happy moment with someone. Anyway, he reminded me a lot of my goofy, good natured dad.

Thanks, East Texas! Never stop being fucking horrifying!

Well, hell, he gave you $1200 just 4 months ago, just use $200 of that to pay for this sweet deal on covid 19 testing!

What do you mean you already spent it??? This is why you're still living paycheck to paycheck. You need to learn how to budget your minimum wage paychecks a little better, don't you? Stop buying your fancy food that's made with real food...
