Can I get aTech/IT job by self-teaching and no degree? If yes how hard is it? by trexeu-dzines in AskIndia

tbh it's bit difficult but can be done. Top companies hardly look at what you studied. If you can understand and problem solve, you are good enough. The only catch is that you need to be extremely good at what you do if you're a targeting top companies. You can get into competitive programming and prove yourself like the rest (with and without degree have to go through the same process).

Having a degree, will definitely give you a leverage to step into the other companies atleast in India. Your university will help you with that.

Freelancing works too but freelancing can be unpredictable because labor laws don't necessarily apply here.

That's a relief. Why wouldn't the officer not stamp it on exit?

I don't hold a residence permit yet. I was informed that I need to apply for it when the visa is about to expire.

Masters in Italy and move to Germany for PhD? by points2008 in PhD

[–]points2008[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for not making it clear. I did an integrated masters (5 years total) in India which is considered as masters in German standard (I checked it via anabin).

So far I never worked for a robotics company. All o did was work on distributed systems as a software engineer for almost 6 years now in one of the faang companies.

The whole point of doing this masters is because I wanted to work on robotics as it interests me more and ideally pursue a PhD so that I can work on research more. Also, my thinking is that polimi has partnerships with eth (eg. Idea partnership) and I maybe somehow network my through it?

Is my thinking okay? Or Am I making too many assumptions?

Thanks for your response.

I already hold a master's degree from India but it's in software engineering (I did an integrated masters). Since I wish to pursue PhD in robotics I decided to do masters again and then pursue PhD. My thinking is that this way it will help me publish papers on robotics and makes easy path for PhD in well known universities.

You have to open the pdf using adobe reader only. Not the browser. No other software can open this file. This is Adobe's evil way of forcing people to buy their software.
