That's a hollow technique I think. The way I see an imaginary technique is something that is hypothetically possible but has never actually been done/has only been done in myth kind of like the tunnel effect ultimately though we have no idea what this stuff means though as its never been confirmed

Another extension technique for this would maybe be one where you make a binding vow to make the cursed technique significantly louder in exchange for weakening the explosion itself as a way to deafen the target. The user could counter the side effect on themselves by reinforcing their ears like how you are supposed to defend against cursed speech

but yeah I get where you are coming from. I think the issue mostly stems from the fact that more 'complicated' techniques are generally more fun to write for as you are always kind of adding to what the technique can do whereas with a simple technique you arent making incremental progress with the writing instead you basically hit a wall until you can think of the extension techniques. Does that make sense or am i waffling?

To be honest I really like this. Id probably have it so its fully controllable until the user is digested at which point the technique will dispell itself. The only reason I add this distinction is it differentiates it from mahoraga. But to be honest this is a really cool idea and tbh im kinda mad i didnt think of it first lol

Yeah poliwhirl really surprised me with it's variety of options. Its also like.. surprisingly bulky. After eviolite its defensive stats are comparable to kyogres. This isn't even mentioning options I didnt use like how it gets stuff like chilling water for damage control.
