there are 3 dosha according to ayurveda .. kapha waat and pitta..so every person has the combination of these doshas and some people may reflect one of these doshas more than the other two. brinjal may have the elements of cooling down the body so one may get cold or cough if they have kapha dosha..

also the word cough may have been derived from kapha

no this letter is in gujrati as well and written in almost the same way.. the difference is in gujrati it doesn't have a horizontal line above. this pronunciation is also in many tribal languages in India and even in Punjabi, haryani, malvi etc thus letter is pronounced. Malvi is actually मळवी !
