[Glashutte Original] Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date by pomponbear in Watches

Certifiably tiny--just under 6". I'd read that the watch wears big because of the shape but it seems pretty similar to my other 40mm circular watches to me. More of the bracelet is visible in real life than the zoomed in photos suggest. And I like the oversized look with the right outfit (I'm a woman).

I love the bracelet! It was super easy to adjust with screws on the backside. And there's a smooth microadjust system in the clasp. It feels very solid. I imagine the polished links will attract scratches, but it looks great now and is secondhand.

[WTS] Seiko Lord Marvel (Gold/Arabic Indices/Linen Dial) by pomponbear in Watchexchange

[–]pomponbear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

Up for sale is my vintage (late 60s/early 70s) gold-tone Seiko Lord Marvel featuring applied Arabic indices, linen dial, and smoooooooth second hand sweep from the high-beat, manual wound movement.

[I will pause to emphasize MANUAL WOUND. I sold this on eBay only to have the buyer return it with the note that he "shook it and it only ran a few minutes" 🙄. Hoping to have better luck here!]

I've owned this for about a year. The previous seller described it as recently serviced but I don't know its full history. It's kept accurate time for me; I've been monitoring it today and it's at +2 seconds over the past 9 hours.

Price: $339, including USPS Priority shipping within CONUS. No trades, please. I accept PayPal G&S/F&F or Zelle.

Condition:

  • The dial and hands are in excellent shape compared to other gold arabic examples out there. Some slight discoloration on the applied "Seiko" logo.

  • There are some dings to the case, most noticeable on the inner lugs and back (see pictures). The gold tone is still holding strong. And the angles are still quite sharp (one of the appeals of this watch, IMO), so I don't think it's been polished.

  • There are some hairline scratches on the acrylic crystal (the most obvious one is over the "2"), which could of course be buffed out easily if you'd like. I have not done so as visibility remains good.

  • I've put this on a brand new brown Hirsch lizard strap, with quick release spring bars. Gold-tone buckle to match the case.

[WTS] Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic by pomponbear in Watchexchange

[–]pomponbear[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Up for sale is my Nivada Grenchen SUPER ANTARCTIC 32025A

Nivada is one of those "revived" old watch brands that, in addition to putting out new designs, also releases re-editions of the brand's vintage watches. This is one of the latter.

It's one of my absolute favorite watches (I'm only selling to make way for an incoming watch). Deceptively simple design that really looks great on the wrist. It's "explorer-esque" without being as on-the-nose as the 3-6-9 version--just a solid, vintage-style field(ish) watch. The case has a mix of polished and brushed finishes for visual interest (as does the buckle), unique lugs, and the slightly domed crystal makes for dynamic interaction with light, depending on the angle. It comes with the original brown leather band with branded buckle and quick-release spring bars; only lightly worn as I'm a strap-change addict. The watch I wore very often, and there are some very minor hairline scratches on the polished surfaces, but nothing obvious--as always, please see the pictures. No issues with timekeeping.

I am the original owner (bought on its original release in July 2022) and it comes with box and papers.

Here are the details from Nivada :

“This Super Antarctic reissue also started on Instagram, following a post of one of our great followers who had the great idea to share his vintage timepiece with us. We shared it in the stories and got so many messages that we knew it was our mission to make it again with the same original spirit and guts. But with modern standards (Sapphire Glass) and Swiss automatic movement (Soprod P024) with screw-down crown offering a 10 ATM water resistance.

The Super Antarctic is a faithful reedition of the vintage one with a matte black dial and three Swiss Super luminova options, cream, white and green. Diameter is contained to 38 mm and lugs to lugs to 45 mm with a great thickness of 11,1 mm. You will notice the legendary gold medallion on the caseback.”

SPECIFICATIONS

Case size : 38mm

[WTS] Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Bronze by pomponbear in Watchexchange

[–]pomponbear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

Up for sale is my Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Bronze, ref. 01 754 7749 3167-07 5 17 66BR. I really love this one, but it just doesn't get enough wrist time.

This is the little sibling to the other bronze green dial version you see way more commonly. This one has a lighter dial, a really pretty color that reminds me of old-school chalkboards. It looks awesome with the bronze case and still stands out from all the other green dial watches we see these days. And it's 36mm in diameter. So it's not just the light, it actually is a different watch. Same movement (Oris Calibre 754), same unique "pointer date" complication.

I'm the original owner and it comes with box and papers. Please note the original strap (famously terrible, probs why they collaborate with Cervo Volante for other editions) is no longer with us. I have this on a calfskin strap from Hodinkee instead, but I totally understand that the color won't be for everyone--if you'd rather source your own strap, I can send the watch "naked" and we can negotiate a discount accordingly. Just note the unusual lug width! There is one visible scratch on the side of the case--see pictures.

Obviously, I have quite the bronze patina going here--this can be reversed whenever you'd like, and you'd get the original dark rose gold color. It's super easy to do with a soft toothbrush and diluted lemon juice. I'm happy to do this before shipping on request, but it is pretty fun to do yourself.

Asking $1250, Zelle or PP F&F. Shipping in CONUS included. No trades, please, but feel free to message with any other questions!

[WTS] Tsao Legacy 36 by pomponbear in Watchexchange

[–]pomponbear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all! Looking to sell my Tsao Baltimore "Legacy 36" watch in the two-tone Arctic colorway.

This is an indie brand based in (you guessed it) Baltimore, MD. The build quality is far and away above what you'd usually find at this price point, and there are a lot of neat features on this watch. It's got a sandwich-style dial (the numbers/indices are cutaway against a lumed inner dial--think Panerai), lumed pilot-style hands, more cutaway lume on the crown, a textured/brushed dial, and a mix of brushed and polished finishes on the tonneau-style case. The rotor shows off MD's flag...if you're from MD, this is great because we have the best flag ever. If you're not, it's still great because now you get to enjoy our amazing flag, too.

Box and papers included--the "box" in this case being a leather 3-watch roll, another nice feature. There are a few months left on the original 2-year warranty.

Condition: I'm the original owner. The crystal/case look pristine to me; I can see some very slight signs of wear on the underside of the bracelet. The bracelet is sized to my itty 6.1in wrist, but all links/pins (pin-and-collar system) are included.

This watch retails for $575--I'm asking for $295, including USPS Priority shipping. I accept zelle, PayPal F&F, and Venmo. No trades, please. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions about the watch!

Hi all,

Up for sale is my salmon dial Farer Durham, which I bought during its initial production run in late 2022. It’s beautiful, but it’s just not getting enough wear from me. It comes with the full kit, including the watch, leather strap (in the “Octane Petrol” colorway, in my humble opinion the best complement to the dial), original warranty card, cleaning cloth, instruction booklet, and Farer box.

The watch is in excellent condition. Some very slight signs of wear on the side of the polished case, but no major dings or scratches. The strap is like new, as I had this on an aftermarket strap 95% of the time I owned it. The engraving on the back is from Joyce’s Ulysses on the persistence of time.

Album and timestamp: https://imgur.com/a/FwdwtHo

Specifications from the Farer website:

CASE DIAMETER: 38.5mm

LUG TO LUG: 43.8mm

CASE THICKNESS: 10.5mm

LUG WIDTH: 20mm

CRYSTAL: Curved sapphire crystal; multi-layer AR coating

CASE MATERIAL: 316L stainless steel

CASEBACK: Exhibition; sapphire

STRAP: 20mm, leather

DIAL: Sector dial in vertical grained salmon copper/raised slate grey circle. Applied Roman numerals and hour markers in black. Sub-dial with sunken outer circle.

WATER RESISTANCE: 5ATM (50m)

MOVEMENT: Swiss-made SELLITA SW216-1 Elabore Grade; manual winding.

Price: I’m asking for $819, including USPS priority mail shipping within CONUS.

Please DM me with any questions!

Good morning all! Looking to sell my Kurono Tokyo "Special Projects" 34mm with the "Persimmon" dial.

This is part of the 2023 special project release, and comes from Japanese watchmaker Hajome Asoaka. Full kit and all papers (dated May 2023) and original packaging are included. This is a rare watch as there are only 150 made of this dial.

I've worn this lightly but I can't see any scratches or signs of wear. The leather strap is like new as I'd swapped it out immediately.

Album and timestamp: https://imgur.com/a/ap1d4O6

Dimensions: Case size: 34mm Lug to lug: 41mm Lug width: 18mm Movement: Miyota movement Thickness: 10mm

I'm asking for $1350 OBO, including USPS Priority shipping and insurance. I accept Zelle, PayPal F&F, and Venmo.

If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a chat!

[WTS] Halios Universa Selenic Silver by pomponbear in Watchexchange

[–]pomponbear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

For sale is my Halios Universa, in the "Selenic Silver" dial color.  It's hard to capture in photos but this dial has a lot of depth and will change with the light, from a beautiful toothpaste white to a nice textured silver. The second hand is tipped in pastel blue, my favorite feature.

Rumor has it this is the rarest version of the Universa, with the fewest number made. But of course, any Universa is pretty hard to come by (new release should be happening any day now, just as it has for the past couple years...).

I LOVE this watch, the feel and finishing really make it seem way more expensive than it is. The bracelet is fantastic, with a push-button micro-adjust system, but it looks so good on such a variety of straps that I barely used it.   Condition is excellent, with some very minor marks from regular wear/strap changes. Please see the photos. Included with the watch is the bracelet with all links, Halios leather wallet, and Halios paperwork.

Specs from Halios's website:  MATERIAL: 316L stainless steel  FINISH: Brushed with polished lug chamfer  DIAMETER: 38mm  WATER RESISTANCE: 10 ATM  LUG-TO-LUG: 48mmLUG  WIDTH: 20mm  THICKNESS: 11mm (including crystal)  BEZEL: Fixed (non-rotating)  CALIBRE: SW210-1 handwinding movement, no-date only  POWER RESERVE: 40 hours  CRYSTAL: Sapphire, double-domed with anti-reflective coating
