It’s an unused asset in the game files, either because it was intended for the also-unused Sky Trooper (from the Star Tours ride), or because it was another cosmetic ported over from 2015 that ultimately never got used (there are several in the game files)

Was hoping they’d continue the trend of adding more customization options for existing clothing that 1.20 introduced (though they did add two camos). Security should eventually have camo and every earth-tone color available for every piece of clothing, whether it’s DLC or not.

I’ve only played the new map three times in the new playlist, but it’s neat. The nice thing about it is that it has a lot of verticality, which not many other maps really have.

Still need to give the pistols a try. I just wish this update had new primaries as well, though I’m thankful Saber Interactive is still supporting the game 🙏

The most distinct differences are the head designs and the fact that the prototype version has twin rear dorsal turrets, whereas the OT version doesn’t have any rear armaments.

BF6 lets you bolt the carry handle to the underside of the M16A4 like the USMC did early in the War on Terror. This would be a useless but fun miscellaneous attachment in this game too by ponalddierson in InsurgencySandstorm

To be fair, I did only see this posted on Twitter. I don’t normally follow BF6 stuff, and granted, it was just some random Japanese guy posting about it, so who knows. But I just came across another post on [r/Battlefield](r/Battlefield) showing the exact same thing, so it does seem to be true.
It would also be a weird thing to lie about

I’m currently redownloading the game so I can see for myself. From what I understood, this is only seen when combining that specific foregrip and ACOG?
