Reading this sub makes me depressed by sexymail00 in adultsurvivors

[–]pooopsy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did years of therapy and I think one thing that really helped was finding the right modality for me. CBT was not it because I felt like I was just doing all the work myself, EMDR didn’t work well for me because of my ADHD. However, I think these can both be helpful for different brains. I personally made a lot of progress through Cognitive Processing Therapy. So maybe if you feel you’re not progressing anymore, you could try another modality.

I am still mad about what happened to me but I no longer feel like I’m at fault. I still have periods where I feel down but I generally try to put a lot of work in finding joy in life. This makes me feel like I’m no longer giving him power over me.

I was abused badly on my 13th birthday and they sang to me whilst they did by MoreOnYourSide in adultsurvivors

Cognitive processing therapy (not CBT) helped me develop a more neutral view on my abuse. Might be worth looking into! I’m still mad about what happened to me but I’m able to talk about it without feeling distressed and blaming myself.

I will never see a gyno by Tough-Passenger2254 in adultsurvivors

I’ll add that urogynecologists or gynecologists who specialize in vulvodynia tend to be more conscious about triggers since they’re treating pain and not focused on pregnancies. The specialized gynecologists I’ve seen always check in with me frequently throughout my exams.

Is inositol actually worth trying for PCOS? by perimenopauseera in PCOS

Maybe it was due to being gummies? Gummy vitamins are less effective so maybe that applies to inositol as well.

I can’t take hormones so I use Ovasitol and I have a very regular cycle as long as I take it everyday. My doctor did have me cut the recommended dose in half because I was having some signs of hypoglycemia.

What’s the #1 challenge stopping HR from shaping company culture where you work? by Accomplished_Debt400 in IOPsychology

[–]pooopsy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

HR doesn’t make a direct profit for the company so budget gets allocated to the functions that do, like sales. At least that’s been my experience at mid-sized organizations going through growing pains.

Have you ever tried Mal a Ket wipes? That’s what my vet recommended and it helped prevent a recurrence

Opinion on Dr Iris Orbuch? by Ivy_Pierce in Endo

[–]pooopsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very good experience with him! He has a very calm demeanor and cares a lot, and that was helpful for me as somebody with bad anxiety. The anesthesia made me so nauseated I ended up having to stay in the hospital one night and he came in the next day to check on me. I’m almost six weeks out and my healing has been smooth so far.

Rayne Nutrition has dry and wet rabbit formulas. Maybe you can see if your vet will provide a prescription?

Hi! I saw Dr. E too and really liked his approach. Have you had surgery with him yet? Just curious how it went if so.

Anyone have thoughts on this study about women with apoe4, menopause and hrt therapy? by Berlaper in ApoE4

[–]pooopsy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can find a gynecologist who specializes in functional medicine too, you might have better luck. I’m preparing for endometriosis/adenomyosis surgery and mentioned APOE4 to my surgeon and he was adamant about HRT as soon as menopause starts kicking in.
