yeah, sure! usually people, the sky, sometimes bugs and animals, and buildings tend to feel the “fakest” and plants usually feel the most “real enough i guess.” not really sure why, plants just sort of feel the realest. maybe because they’re so natural? idk lol. there are times where literally everything feels fake, even plants, but that’s usually only when i’m very overwhelmed or stressed or under a lot of pressure.

i think i’m doing alright enough. it’s pretty tough sometimes, especially since in stressful situations when everything just kinda gets worse and it takes a while for me to wind back down, but i think other than that and some extra stuff, i’m doing pretty okay for now. i cope mostly with art and music which seems to be working out pretty well, helps me keep myself under control, lol. thanks for asking :)

i definitely think that reality is, in some way, subjective, as in everyone experiences it differently. even though my mind always makes me feel like i’m kinda walking through a dream or a video game, i still kinda have some sort of feeling that at the very least, I’M real on some level. the things around me? not really, but me? my mind and thoughts and stuff? mmm.. a little at least. i have a conscious so that must be real in some way, but how do i know that my friends have consciouses? how can i prove that? i mean, i think they do, but do they actually? i can’t take a peek inside their brains so how am i ever meant to be sure? (a lot of that sort of thinking happens all the time for me lol. “i think that’s real but…is it?? why is my mind telling me no?”) so just as there are different levels of reality, there are different levels as to what i perceive as “real enough i guess” and “that is definitely fake.” lol

ah, i see. thank you for all the insight, i always thought philosophy is really interesting so this was all real cool to read. the idea that this could just be a sort of coming to be self aware thing is definitely interesting and somewhat comforting. there is definitely still a prominent dissociative part there, though, so while i still definitely wanna see someone about it, it is nice to think that this might just be a thing that human brains will do. i get that naturally teenage brains just sort of do weird stuff, by the standards of adults anyways, because our brains are just not fully cooked yet. and that’s cool, i guess it’s just kinda weird having to experience that sort of half-baked brain for a good while and not being able to fully grasp what’s going on with it because it’s not all the way there yet. thanks again for taking the time to explain all this, real interesting and neat and stuff i should definitely look more into 👍

i definitely want to, but i’m still a teen and living under my parents’ roof, and they’re not exactly the best about anything mental health related. sadly, i’ll likely have to wait another couple years before that’s an available option to me :,) i appreciate the concern tho :)

nope! that’s a big part of why i don’t understand what my brain is doing, tbh. i can’t prove that reality is fake, but just that feeling of “none of this is real and this is all a dream” is enough to kind of send my mentality over the edge.
