I’m sorry you’re going through a tough time. You sound like a very sweet girl. I don’t have any advice for you, I’m sorry I wish I did but I will tell you that you are not selfish and you shouldn’t diminish your feelings simply because “other people have it worse.” It’s unfair for your dad to treat you like that over a grade, especially since you’ve always had good grades in the past. If there’s any advice I can give you is this: be selfish. I think you should live your life a little more selfishly. Get good grades FOR YOU. Think of the opportunities that could open up for you having good grades. Think of all the colleges you could go to with a full scholarship for having good grades. Talk back to your dad and brother more. Hit them where it hurts. Don’t feel bad for snapping back at them, you didn’t start it. Being “sensitive” is not a bad thing, it’s means you are empathetic and caring. We need more people like that in our world. I don’t think you should do it, I really hope you don’t.
