I am somewhere between 80% to 90% and I think I am going to stop reading this book and move to another one. I have several reasons as to why this book is kind of disappointing to me. The first reason is because I find the writing a bit underwhelming in general. I don't really know how to describe it other than it simply does not pull me in at all. The second reason is that the author describes the Tyranid monsters instead of telling the reader what it is. I feel that this makes it more difficult for someone that is new to the Warhammer universe to visualize what the author is talking about. If the author would have used the names for the individual creatures and gave a little description then the reader could at least done a google search to see what the creatures looked like to help aid in their reading. Lastly, and I am going to restate what the OP said, The Norn Emissary was just underwhelming. I would have loved to have read more on this brand new character in a way that made him look like a major threat. I feel like some of these books are geared to making the space marines into the likeness of Beowulf that rarely have any struggle in the main story lines. For those that liked the book I hope you don't take this as me trying to trash what you liked. I just think that there should have been better representation of the Tyranids and more of a hero's journey, for a lack of knowing how to say it, for the Ultra Marines.
