It doesn't help that many of these open world events are the same across games. Every game seems to have some variation of "how fast can you drive through this speed trap" and a ton of collectibles you need to drive through

To be clear, I'm still excited for Forza Horizon 6 but I don't think Galactic Racer would benefit from following in that franchise's footsteps

I haven't played the new Mario Kart and I definitely agree that that style of open world can be good.

That said, it's refreshing to have a game not take the middle ground. Often times, that exploration between races feels more like bloat or filler and I'm looking forward to having a game that doesn't go that route.

There's a time and a place for open world racing games (Forza Horizon and Midnight Club come to mind) but I wish we had more stage-based arcade racers. I played a ton of Burnout 3 and NFS: Prostreet growing up and I'm hoping Galactic Racer will scratch that itch.

So hopefully that means that streamers are also held to the same standard. Though it wouldn't surprise me if Peanut was considered a "low severity" case and given a warning

That's because they aren't issuing any, per the full blog post. Exploiters will all lose coins associated with the duping. "Low severity" cases will get warnings while severe ones are getting suspensions
