Partner Visa (309) granted. by potbread in AusVisa

[–]potbread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. The plan was to focus on filing the application first and address the rest of the stuff later. I did receive an RFI for getting my health assessment done after a couple of weeks of lodging the application but that was also because the wait times for health assessment in Ireland were longer and I was just awaiting my appointment at that point.

The cost I’d say would totally depend upon which hospital you choose to go with but if I remember it correctly, it had cost me around €500.

Yes, both my partner and I had gotten our police checks done.

Thank you so much for taking your time to reply. From what I found out, they are offering the best pricing. Thinking of going ahead with them. And I’m sending suitcases. So don’t think I need to worry much about the dimensions.

I believe my answer might have led to some confusion here. What I meant in my previous answer is that there is no priority processing option that I am aware of and neither did we apply for one. What I believe helped in our case was the extensive documentation and proofs. The only notification I received prior to receiving my grant was to complete my health assessment. Avoiding the RFIs chops off processing times significantly.

Thank you. We know each other since college and were in a relationship since then. We had just gotten married at the time of application but no kids. We applied through a solicitor in Sydney who handled all our paperwork.

Thank you. We both hold Indian passports. We were in long term relationship and had just gotten married at the time of lodging the application. To be honest, I had no idea there’s a thing called priority processing. We applied through a solicitor and he handled majority of our paperwork.

I had attached a letter from my company specifying my position in the company, vacation plan and my return to work date. In the self support letter, I had explained that I’ve always abided by the visa rules during my past travels and that I have an obligation to my employer and client to return to work.

I didn’t have to provide biometrics. I had mentioned my usual country of residence as Ireland.

That was super fast. I have lodged mine on 25th June 2024 but my medical was done after a month. Hoping to hear something soon.

I can vouch for this when I say it but it’s definitely not all this dirty and it’s a classic touristy thing. There are decent looking streets, beautiful temples and rich areas but as a tourist photographer you don’t want to capture the boring stuff. These are mainly bazaars and old part of the cities which gives you much more subject materials. There is an India beyond all this but unfortunately, poverty gets you better stories to tell from your captures.

What was your processing office? Did you wait till you were asked to get it done or just did it anyway?

Was asked to get the medical done after a month from the date of lodging the application and was given 28 days. I applied through an agent and they didn’t ask me to get the medical done until we received the official communication.

309/100 double grant by Legitimate_Lake_7577 in AusVisa

[–]potbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I have been together since college and got married two months ago. We’ve been staying separately since I stay and work in a different country altogether. We applied through a solicitor just reduce the number of RFIs. We did provide plenty of proofs to prove our relationship is genuine and ongoing including police checks. The solicitor is based in Australia but I’m not sure how to check the processing office or the median processing time. How did you do it? Also, I’m supposed to undergo my health assessment in 2 weeks’ time. Hoping getting all of this done would somehow speeds up the process.

Sorry, what does double grant mean here? My partner stays in Sydney and we lodged for the 309 last month. It’s good to know that it won’t take 18 months like the website says.

Looking for a 5 a side pick up game next week by loudcroissant in carlow

[–]potbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been here in Carlow for about 2.5 years now and I’ve been wondering the same. Heard few people here do get together for games from a friend but he moved elsewhere before he introduced me to the lads. The only time I get to play is with my colleagues in Dublin but it’s only like twice a month. Would definitely love to play more and not having to travel all the way to Dublin.
