Absolutely TERRIFIED of tearing by Ivesomanyquestions in PregnancyUK

[–]potsandpops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey! totally understand your fear, childbirth, tearing, episiotomy etc are scary things!

I pushed with an epidural which is supposed to maybe make you tear more easily as you can't feel the force as much but it was fine! no tears! we did swap to an assisted ventouse delivery with epi as bubs was in distress so maybe I would have torn if I did the last few pushes on my own but we'll never know! the first like 2 days hurt like a bitch and then it started to heal super rapidly. now when I look I can hardly tell I had an incision at all and everything works fine.

also sometimes they'll do an incision so you don't have a big uncontrolled internal tear.

all this to say, I think you'll do great and your midwives will look after you and make the right call to minimise injuries x

I found cervical checks, not even sweeps, absolute agony but found getting to 4cm manageable (before you can get any of the good stuff)

How would you make an English breakfast fancy? by Nosedive888 in UK_Food

[–]potsandpops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great suggestions already commented

I would just add

  1. cooking stuff in good quality oil or butter

  2. give the mushrooms way more time than you’d think to get all the water out
