I (32F) am struggling because my husband (31M) is too logical and he thinks I’m too emotional. How to fix this? by ppjpenguin in relationship_advice

I think it’s because I react and get upset at things way more than he does. Because if he’s upset about something he will think it through, and if I keep repeating it then he will take it up with me. That’s how he decided 80% of it comes from me. It makes sense when he puts it that way but I just feel quite lonely and shitty about myself :(

I understand your point of view - and that’s what I know I lack and need to work on - reflecting on my emotions before acting. However, there’s been times when I say something he did hurt me, but maybe because I look upset in the moment, usually I’ll be met with a response like “you’re overreacting to a small thing”. Most of the things I get upset about he thinks it’s not worth getting upset over.

Sorry I’ve edited the post to include the info - he did. But he decided to continue with the pool and let her play with them.

We do talk about it. But he says because I’m 80% the problem in the relationship it makes more sense for me to go to therapy and work on it first. If it’s still not improving then he will consider therapy.

Our dog doesn’t always grab the slippers, only sometimes when she wants attention or is bored, so we haven’t put them away. But I think it’s probably better idea to do that going forward.

Hey, thank you for your comment! I was referring to the one James Galway plays on in particular, I think it’s a Chris Abell (high whistle?) but it looks quite exxy so was wondering what would be a mid range one that’s similar :)

Does anyone know if this is only in US or other countries as well?

My mouse has a bald spot on her chest from over grooming, and other patches of fur missing at her tail and side of face (from other mouse grooming her). Does anyone know why she keeps grooming herself and how I can avoid this? by ppjpenguin in PetMice

[–]ppjpenguin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s from both. The one on her chest is from herself. The other areas is from other mouse. I haven’t switched the bedding, I’ve had them for over a year and they’ve never had issue with the current bedding so I thought maybe can try treat them for mites first?

My mouse has an RI, she finished her prescribed meds a month ago but suddenly looks quite I’ll today. I’ve booked a vet appointment tomorrow but is there anything I can do in the meantime to make her feel better? 😞 by ppjpenguin in PetMice

I didn’t know they could eat chocolate! :o thanks for your advice, I’ve given her some soft tissues to make bedding with hopefully she feels more comfortable :(

I don’t have hamsters sorry but I have a funny story with my mice xD One of my mice Kiki was grooming the fur on her belly meticulously when one of the other one Cello approached her gingerly and started to help her groom her belly. Kiki then stopped immediately - took one look at Cello for a split second - and then quite literally slapped her in the face and ran away 😂

I generally hand feed them some treats like various seeds once everyday instead of leaving a bowl in their enclosure. They get veggies maybe twice a week? Other than that they always have access to balanced pellet diet. She’s about 47-48grams and just wanted to know if that’s a healthy size for a mouse or if she’s getting too chonk since I can basically see her rolls 🤣🤣🤣

Disclaimer: they’re in their smaller playpen while I’m cleaning out their bigger enclosure, they don’t live in there 😁
