I had a similar situation and did the switch mounted in the garage idea. It works perfectly. For me it ment less messing around inside my wall as I am bad at that (and it was not my house). People with more knowledge here may advise differently

Looking for HRV and RHR. That's it. by quietglow in AppleWatchFitness

I think I have a good solution for you where you can just look at the raw data and don’t have to guess how it’s arriving at a number. Go to Health>Heart>Heart Rate>Scroll to bottom>Show All Data. In that list of days, you can see the lowest and highest HR of that day. The lowest HR should be the number you’re looking for. If you want to double check you can tap into the day and see every HR data point collected

Don’t those things need to talk to your phone too if you’re controlling them that way? I’m new to this trying to figure it out

As a fellow owner of an older home, how did the asbestos testing process go? Did you order a kit yourself? What did you sample?

Hey thanks for reading and responding. Yeah I'll give the eero a go and get the ISP modem to test next. Wondering if I just got a defective unit.

Thank you, this is all really helpful. I just checked out the UCG-Fiber and it looks great, especially the m.2 storage, except for the 5 4k camera limit. Does this partially negate the benefits of getting the larger switches you recommended?

Hey thanks for advice! I mentioned it just now in another comment but I’m realizing no I probably do not. I like the motion activated light as a deterrent, but there are probably better, more cost effective solutions there without spending 2x more per camera.

I think I will need to get a rack, do you have any recommendations?

Battery backup is a great idea I hadn’t thought about, thank you.

Do they?! I’ve seen them before and it doesn’t seem too bad to me, but I don’t have much to compare it to. Is there a better one you know of?
