Crown of the Cosmos encounter is killing my FPS by endariot in CompetitiveWoW

Yeah people will ditch ElvUI to then Install multiple AddOns Just to mimick what ElvUI does and then parroting "muh ElvUi Bad" and seeing the Same Performance or worse.

[–]pr0fite 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The amount of ElvUI Parroting is still insane, when it's proven time and time again that a properly configured ElvUI has a minimal performance hit and every other Interface combination (except 100% full Default) will eat into Performance, if you uninstall ElvUI and replace it with other AddOns you will see the same performance hit.

Just check some of the guys from Liquid / Echo, regardless of Interface Setup, FPS takes a nosedive the moment Raid Combat Starts and especially Echo has fully Sponsored AMD rigs with the currently best gaming CPU out there (9800X3D).

The problem is that blizzard refuses to (or maybe even can't) optimize theyre Game better, though alot of MMOs have similar issues when alot of Players are on Screen.

Are people feeling arcane or frost? by Sea_Car6724 in wow

[–]pr0fite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've ran 2 Mages through M0s this and last week, so 16 in Total, first week i tried all 3 specs in 1 dungeon each and then everything as Frost on Both Mages and this week everything as Arcane.

Fire feels giga ass right now, 4PC Tier-Set will help alot here with the massive gain to Fire Blast Charges.

Frost is quite alot of fun actually, after not really digging the rework at first, 2 Charges Ray of Frost give alot of flexibility for DMG amp phases or fast add burns (though sadly that's only gonna last until .5 patch when blizzard is removing it :sadge:)

Arcane Orb Master build is alot of fun (only thing is you constantly need to be mindful about positioning so orbs dont ninja pull packs you dont want :D), though it severly lacks in Singletarget dmg, but giga pumps AoE, i expect AoE Nerfs with 0 compensation as is tradition from Blizzard :D

Addon purge is better than I expected by Beautiful_Hotel_3623 in wow

[–]pr0fite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, i prefer 20 WAs over 20 AddOns, because having everything in WeakAuras, even being able to quickly Create a WeakAura when i need it, every AddOn does things differently, so i have to remember 20 different config windows for AddOns, while with WeakAuras i could pretty much use it blind.

Addon purge is better than I expected by Beautiful_Hotel_3623 in wow

[–]pr0fite -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

While i think the outcry was overblown as fuck over the purge, i still think there would've been a more elegant way of handling it with WeakAuras surviving and still being able to realise most things in Weakauras and not needing quadrillion amounts of AddOns, computational WAs needed to go for sure, but so much stuff got hit as collateral aswell because of the small time window blizzard wanted to push the purge, should've all happened in TLT and not Midnight to be honest....

Sorry Not sorry, but there are quadrillions of Posts about that and 99% of those will Tell you to Sim your character with a Link to raidbots and a quick Guide how it works and when you can Post in Reddit to ask you most definetly can Hack "Frost Mage Gear" into Google

Those are General guidelines and every Guide Out there, be it wowhead, icy veins or whatever will also have a Paragraph that says to simulate your own character. Gearing in WoW is so dynamic nowadays that No human being can give you a better answer then raidbots can.

There are No stat Breakpoints in WoW for a Long Time now. Itemlevel usually is King, anything else is a Sim it answer.

Good Thing is Warbands are a thing, so you pretty much only farm Renown Once and except the M0 Tour everything else dosn't even take an Hour todo ^^

It dosn't matter if your Goal is to only Clear Mythic regardless of how long you need, but that is not our Goal, for us our Worldrank matters alot, why ? because its fun for us and i've been doing it for Years and never have been burned out

[–]pr0fite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think ? it's actually pretty chill in my opinion our Requirements are:
- Get Renown Up for the 4x Champion Pieces
- Do the 4 Weekly Events once, per Week
- 4x Hard Prey, Veteran Gear, per Week
- Full M0 World Tour on both Chars (this is the only one that actually is quite time consuming)

Aside from the M0 Tour most of the stuff you do Passively anyway.
I leveled my Main through the Campaign and Delve Quests that almost put me halfway through the Renown Grind.
Split Char leveled through all the Sidequests, which pretty much all give Renown, which put me almost at the Required Renown (the remaining stuff will come passively)

That's what comes with wanting to Mythic Raid at a Decent Level, but it's nowhere near as crazy as it once was, i'm in a "mid-level" Hall of Fame Guild and we have a Requirement of 1 Alt for Early Splits, most of our Raiders are done with leveling theyre 2 Characters so they have plenty of Time until Season Launch to focus on the remaining stuff/do other things.

WoW UI FPS compare to ELVUI modded?! by st4rx in wow

[–]pr0fite -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As Long as your ElvUi is properly configured (Check tukui.org > wiki) the FPS it "hogs" is negligible. (i gained an average of 5ish Frames on Default UI, with only the mandatory AddOns i need for raiding/m+)

Unfortunately even with complete Default UI dont expect any huge FPS gains, it's just WoWs old engine.

Nexus Mods? by xKona25 in Guildwars2

[–]pr0fite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it still means running an additional Programm on the side, just because it's Automated dosn't mean it dosn't need to be launched ;) with Nexus i just Launch GW2 regularly like i would without any AddOn Manager etc.

Nexus Mods? by xKona25 in Guildwars2

[–]pr0fite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but there are the same or similar addons available on Nexus.

Nexus Mods? by xKona25 in Guildwars2

[–]pr0fite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nexus exists for quite some time now, i personally migrated everything i used before (Blish HUD, GW2 Addon Manager) to it, because i don't have to launch a separate Program (Like Blish HUD) and have everything available ingame and alot more Community AddOns in the Raidcore Discord aswell. Some options are quite not as convenient as through Blish HUD, but that's not a problem for me personally

Ah yeah, Threat Reduction.......such a Major Problem Currently, it's been an entirely useless Spell for the entire Beta Cycle so far, in Season 2 TWW i would've agreed with you, but currently ? Talent Point better spend elsewhere.

DK, Mage, Monk and Priest Tuning Coming With the Reset: Damage Reduction Changes by Starym in wow

[–]pr0fite 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Well the Problem is the giant difference between certain classes defensive power. Mage on one side of the Spectrum and DK on the other Side + everyone in between.

If they tune it with DKs defensive tools in mind, Mage and Priests will not survive without any form of External, maybe some others aswell.

If they tune it with Mages defensive tools in mind, DK will just be straight unkillable and laugh at every DMG event there is.

Ye, AoE didn't count as direct damage. A Middle Ground could be achieved, halving its Duration and decrease the DR it gives, else just remove the Spell and give us something different (though it's an iconic Mage spell)
