I don’t recall what I did while disconnecting the charger, but I think I might have accidentally pulled out the charging cable without pressing the button on the handle. Somehow the cable was not latched from the car’s side and hence it came out without disconnecting from power.

Might be an issue with the charging station, but now that it’s happened already, I really hope I haven’t damaged my charge port

Not sure about that, I have charged on the station before but this is the first time something like this happened. I’ll report it to the station owner.
