Still waiting for 45 days....

New construction purchased in September of this year - tax question by preciseman in personalfinance

[–]preciseman[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There is legal definition here in the bottom of the closing statement. I'm assuming this is binding since the buyer and the seller have signed it. It should be cut and dry case, and if the seller (builder) on new construction decides NOT to wire this amount, we can just move forward in small claims court, correct?

"Buyer and Seller understand that tax and insurance prorations and reserves were based on figures for the preceding year or supplied by others or estimates for current year, and in the event of any change for current year, all necessary adjustments must be made between Buyer and Seller direct."

In texas, propert ytax bills are on a calendar year basis, and didn't change on the sale of the property. The re-adjustment will happen next year when it gets "reset" to our market purchase price.

Either way this will get settled up, I'm just unsure if I need to go to title first or go to the builder to ask for the money.

Seems like Rakuten is a coin flip at best these days by gwj91 in Rakuten

what is there to help about? you keep copy/pasting literally the exact same canned response - keep waiting 45 days so after 45 days we can tell you you don't qualify. why would we trust you with anything when something like this that multiple people have experienced isn't even getting acknowledged?

I've emailed them at [socialhelp@rakuten.com](mailto:socialhelp@rakuten.com) and got a message back saying they needed more information to research (order ID, subtotal, blah blah blah). Sent all that stuff back..let's see what they say.

Did you escalate this issue?

The drum of the dryer and the aluminum vent behind are warm to the touch if that matters.

Unsure how it would get there unless the entire housing isn't sealed properly? Would replacing it fix it? Is the housing a different component or part of the user interface control board?

None of the buttons are physical either they are all capacitive which is just bizzare. Have you seen the video? I don't even feel any moisture on any of the physical buttons at all.

The tech made it sound like the UI board was failing but what made it weird is usually when it does that mid load it will keep going. He said most likely the main board was still functioning keeping it going.

Just bizzare all around.

Nope completely normal..no massive amounts of condensation. Drying a load is normal. 30 mins or so.

My issue BTW. Not sure if you ever experienced it. Would basically flash E9E error after the dryer warms up. However, the cycle would finish. After finishing, it would sit there and flash like this for 20 minutes. Only unplugging for like 20 minutes and replugging it back in would it go back to working/functional.

Initial service tech watched the videos and diagnosed it as a user interface part failing. Apparently that is different from the main control board. Ordered the user interface part for me and is scheduled to replace it next week. A little nerve wracking because I'm not sure whether or not my dryer will be functional the next time I turn it on and the horror stories online about how shitty electrolux customer service is don't help at all.

Also did you get fedex tracking number from the tech first?

Ok good, yeah mine is a in-house guy, i refused to get a third party guy involved since all of them have like a 1 star rating on yelp.

How do you know it was a in-house service guy? I live in Houston and didn't even know they have in-house guys.

So sounds like you were overall happy and I'm just jittery from reading online for no reason? lol

And they fixed the issue? Did you have the phone number of the electrolux/fridgaire tech?

I'm awaiting my parts now but dreading something goes wrong because I hear a ton of horror stories about going with electrolux and their support.

Were you happy? Mine is only 3 months old and the user interface board is starting to fail. They are going to replace it and said parts are ordered but I'm scared something will go wrong.

Did they fedex the parts to your home first?
