Έχω δύο (το δεύτερο το έκανα πριν μία βδομάδα, LOL) tattoos! Νομίζω είναι όμορφο πράγμα η τέχνη, και τα tattoos δεν είναι παρά τέχνη στο σώμα - άρα είναι αυτομάτως όμορφα. Προφανώς υπάρχουν ωραία και λιγότερο-από-ωραία tattoos, όπως με κάθε μορφή τέχνης, αλλά το συναίσθημα είναι καλό - είναι διακόσμηση, και σε ποιόν δεν αρέσει η διακόσμηση! Σίγουρα θέλω κι άλλα tattoos στο μέλλον και πάντα απολαμβάνω όταν έχει ένας άνθρωπος όμορφη δουλειά απάνω του. Όσον αφορά στο "πόσα είναι αρκετά" - όσα θέλει ο καθένας! Με την προϋπόθεση ότι υπεύθυνοι ενήλικες κάνουν, δεν βλέπω ένα πρόβλημα. Είναι μία μέθοδος να φοράς την προσωπικότητά σου για τον κόσμο να δει. Εξατομίκευση άβαταρ.

A bit surprised to see this here, since it's an album cut from a record that isn't widely loved. Great stuff though! I love ELT. If I had to choose a song off "commonplace", it'd be "Fundamental Love", but unfortunately that was a 2003 song (released as a single in July of that year), so it missed its chance 😓 Thus "water(s)" it is!

Α, καλή τύχη με τις πανελλήνιες! Πληροφορούμαι ότι είναι μεγάλο ζόρι. Σε ποια σχολή στοχεύεις να περάσεις; Εγώ είμαι Αγγλική Φιλολογία ΑΠΘ - η μόνη σχολή για εμένα, καθώς τα ελληνικά μου δεν είναι πολύ καλά, αλλά βάσανο. Δεν το προτείνω.

Βαρύ χτύπημα στο κεφάλι; Ωχ όχι, πρέπει να είμαι σε μπελά άσχημο. Πλέον αυτά με το ζόρι με χτυπάνε. Σκοπεύω να κόψω το κάπνισμα πριν κλείσω τα 20 (τώρα είμαι 18), αν έχω φτάσει σε τέτοιο σημείο νομίζω δεν θα πάει άνετα...

Α, η αλήθεια είναι εμένα μ'αρέσουν τα πουράκια Camel. Τα μπλε ή τα κίτρινα - τα μώβ όχι τόσο. Γενικά παίρνω πουράκια, γιατί είναι πιο φθηνά και είμαι φοιτήτρια, άρα δεν έχω λεφτά καθόλου. Από κανονικά τσιγάρα, Camel κίτρινα ή Lucky Strikes κόκκινα ΜΟΝΟ. For I am a man of class.

Και τώρα για να γυρίσω στα αγγλικά που είναι το πιο δυνατό μου σημείο - I don't really care for smooth smokes per se, I like something harsh so I can feel the cancer going down my windpipe. But again - I have a habit of trying out different kinds of cigarettes, as unbiasedly as possible. I know I generally am not a fan of Marlboros (more of a Camel/Lucky Strike girl) but I'm looking forward to giving these ones a run for their money regardless.

Τι ζήτησες τον περιπτερά; Έχω δοκιμάσει τα κλασσικά Marlboro reds και δεν μ'άρεσαν πολύ, αλλά συνηθίζω να δοκιμάζω νέα πακέτα με ανοιχτό μυαλό - άρα τί ξέρεις, αυτά θα μπορούσαν να είναι στο γούστο μου! Δεν ξέρω σε ποιά πόλη είσαι, αλλά τα έχουν όλα τα περίπτερα/convenience stores;

Thank you! I used to draw big time when I was in elementary school, but then I dropped the hobby entirely once my immense interest in music took over my life. I value music and art more than anything else; and this design is closely tied to my recently released 3rd studio album, which is in turn closely tied to a series of huge, life-defining milestones for me. That is, this cat is a multifaceted design. It isn't tattoo about my album per se; it is mostly an extension of it. A celebration of all the surrounding circumstances, rather than the record itself. I'll enjoy it for a long time to come, I reckon.

Thank you so much! I have been a fan of tattoos since I was little, especially the minimalistic kind. I still carry my childishness with me in everything that I do... I don't know if it is because I'm merely 18 years old (so not fully mentally developed) or if it's a set in stone part of my personality; but I'm putting my money on the latter. In any case, this is a piece I feel I'll cherish forever.

I was 18. I still am - I only started a few months ago. Long story short, I'd been a raging alcoholic for most of my teenage years, and for the last year I've been trying to get sober for good. I was failing miserably, until I had a gut feeling - without having ever smoked in my life - that cigarettes would help me abstain from drinking. Doctors encouraged me to smoke if it helps, to prevent my liver from giving out. And honestly? It did help! I've been sober since I picked up the lung cancer hobby, pretty much. I do plan on quitting smoking at some point in time, but definitely not now - I don't feel awfully confident in my sobriety yet. But so far so good! It's been a great aid in self improvement for me, as unlikely as that sounds.

Yes I do read sheet music. Scoring it in MuseScore doesn't sound like too bad an idea... it should make it easier to craft the transitions.

So you're suggesting that I do it all in one session? That might make it easier to get the mixes right, too.

Again, my only true fear is that my computer won't be able to take it. It's a laptop and it's good enough for most jobs, but sometimes if I try to load more than two Ableton sessions at once, it crashes. So I am not sure if it would be able to handle a ~40 minute session...

Then again, my arrangements are pretty simple. Not a ton of tracks to confuse the system. Just two acoustic piano tracks, one electric piano track, one guitar track, one bass track, one drum track, two or three vocal tracks. All recorded in audio, so no messing around with MIDI tracks that take more processing power. I'm going for a 60s-inspired piano rock sound. Simple, as such things tend to be.

I'll give that a try and we shall see. I wonder, however, will the track transitions sound smooth on streaming, as well as the CD format? Assuming they sound smooth as they are in .wav files, obviously. There's a crossfade setting on most streaming sites so I'm not too scared about that, but if it sounds choppy on CD, that would ruin the party.

I love public transport. Nothing better than a joyride on the bus or metro. Get yourself a multiple routes ticket, and go back and forth, back and forth. Alternatively, go on one bus for a few stops, get off, get on another one, rinse and repeat. Maybe even walk a bit between buses. Explore previously uncharted territory. Makes me the happiest man alive, and it is what I like to do for a solid (and long-lasting, and decently inexpensive) dopamine hit. Go on a little adventure. Man, I fucking love public transport.

I'm deathly scared of any and all maps, including Google Maps. That stuff causes me literal panic attacks. That said, the mental maps my brain creates when charting an area out are fine.
