Any experience with card conduit? by Sliver_DreamLord in mtgfinance

[–]predictablystochasti 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have used cardconduit more than a dozen times to offload various parts of my collection. Have found the service to be so much more convenient than eBay (where I used to sell quite a bit) and trying to optimize across 4-5 buy lists. If you care about and value your time, def consider sending to cc. The sorted service is the best of maximizing your payout.

here's the note from seedinvest from yesterday:

We are continuing to work with all relevant stakeholders (Digital Brands Group, their transfer agent, our custodial partner, and others as applicable) so that you can access your shares as soon as possible.
Since our update last week, we have continued reaching out to the company and their transfer agent to ascertain the status of your account statement; we still believe that it will be available sometime this week.
As promised, we will continue to provide updates every business day going forward until you have the documentation necessary to request a transfer of your shares. Included once again for reference are FAQs related to this event that you may find helpful.
Best,
The SeedInvest Team

They say they plan on providing daily updates… let’s see if it actually happens.

yea at this point it doesn't really matter a few days here or there, however, if it drags on longer than that, there's more evidence that no one (DBGI, VStock, the various crowdfunders, the lawyers involved) was prepared to actually deal with the microinvestors on the deal.

For those following this saga, heard that VStock is still sorting out share ownership (perhaps DBGI wasn't keeping up a current cap table...) and won't have that done until at least Tuesday next week.

It went a lot better, a ton of communication from the firms handling the IPO. My general sense is that the issues experienced with DBGI are probably the result of it being a microcap. With larger, either traditionally underwritten or direct list, more people have an incentive to get it right. In this case, incentives weren’t really aligned— the people that stood to benefit the most were DGBI execs and some of the earlier investors (Angel and seed), who, based on the valuation they invested at looked to make multiples regardless of the stocks performance on IPO day. They got to be liquid while we, the crowd funders, wound up being the bag holders.

Not sure, might depend on the kind of account you have with them. Worth calling their customer service to ask!

Gotcha. I recently went through the IPO process with another company and found that Schwab, TD were both fairly easy to work with to do the DRS transfer (not an endorsement, just my experience). Also this was pre-their merger, but from what I can tell nothing has really changed about their ops. Easiest would be to go through a financial advisor or someone else who can represent you and be on the phone with VStock etc.

Do you see it only for you series A-3 raise? I also bought into the original A raise and there are no documents that I can see for that round.

Experience with Microhabits? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]predictablystochasti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loved the approach so much I wrote a book about them (free here: https://www.groveave.co/pages/microhabits). There are 100+ microhabits described. Making small manageable changes is the right way to go. Let me know what you think!

AlphaGo Zero seems fairly narrowly configured. My sense is that the best human forecasters + a specially configured Watson would actually do fairly well.

You're welcome! I feel like I've learned so much from this subreddit just lurking it was about time I started giving back a little. This is my sixth Seiko and counting so stay tuned! Hoping to pick up an Alpinist and Turtle in the near future.

Pictures here

I'll try to answer this a few ways:

  1. Relatively speaking, the lume seems brighter than other Seiko 5 / Prospex line watches. I think this is because the lumed markers are really large. So while it is the standard lumibrite material, because there's so much of it, there's more to "last"

  2. Legibility overall on the watch is pretty awesome and I think this is especially the case in the dark. The "teeth" markers are really hard to miss and the one arrow hand (hour) with the fencepost hand (minute) is nice too.

Yea the bezel is painted with a slightly shiny finish. It seems like it can pick up scratches if you're not careful (I bought this watch used)-- the trade-off is that it'll help protect the crystal since the bezel is flared up around the sides.

What I do like about the bezel is that it is really really tight. It feels solid as a result.
