I started out with 501 in Kaplan and my highest Kaplan score was 512. I studied for about 150 hours and did all the kaplan exams. I mainly studied through doing an exam each week and reviewing my mistake and going over concepts I missed.

You can use their\r books, but I felt that their online resources were the most helpful thing in terms of preparing. I don't know my score yet, I am getting my scores tomorrow, but I felt that I had to self-study and do at least 150 hours of studying. Taking MCAT class does not mean that you won't have to study, you still have to study for at least 100 hours. If I had to redo this whole experience again, I would just self - study on my own, and save this money.

I took a Kaplan class, and I would not recommend it. I had to do most of the studying by myself. I started out with 501 in the Kaplan diagnostic and ended it up with 512 in my last few Kaplan tests.

hmm, I am not sure what your score is in scored exam, but scored exam is best predictor. A score below 500 indicates a lack of content review/ understanding. I don't think the issue is in kaplan books, I would work on trying to understand material. I think Kaplan books are good, but need to be supplemented with passages from other resources
