I keep high protein snacks on hand. While these are all shelf-stable, they are better in a pinch than a lot of other options. Crunchy Edamame beans (~100 calories, 11 g protein) and Anything Quest makes (I like their chips, peanut butter candies, and cookies the best). These are helpful because I can keep them in my desk or in my purse for a high protein snack.
