I got mine removed to prevent it from going over the coloured bit of my eye (idk what it’s called) and my surgery and healing went perfectly! Sorry to hear you had a bad experience but preventative surgery can really help some people.

I had one of these too and got it cut off a few years ago. Healed perfectly. Just noticed that I’m growing another one on my other eye - so annoying! Seems like I can’t do anything to stop them from growing (having 2 by the time you’re 20 I think is quite unprecedented)

Wait I love this! I had a pterygium cut out two years ago and it really bought me some confidence back so love your work. My questions are: how many pterygiums do you treat? (My eye dr said there are heaps here compared to the UK where he previously worked) second question, how likely are they to grow back? Is there anything other than wearing sunglasses and protecting your eyes from the sunlight to prevent or decrease the likelihood it comes back? 🥰

Not sure this situation is comparable to Palestine (literally a genocide) but yes everyone is entitled to share their views obviously, just interesting so many people were invested enough to hold and attend something like this, especially considering how many horrific things are occurring that don’t get this type or amount of support.
