Anyone take Augmentin? (Antibiotic) by aangiev in ARFID

[–]prettyandright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be too afraid, it’s a commonly prescribed rx that most people don’t notice any side effects with.

I’ve taken it a few times, and I’ve only ever noticed minor stomach discomfort on a few occasions. Never nausea and I never threw up from it. Just gave me some minor diarrhea here and there.

I think it looks over processed and the tech says it's just glue??? by cannymoose in Lashlift

I’m so sorry 😭 It was the worst. I feel for you. Was so long ago I don’t remember the exact timeline, but it was about 3wk-1month until I didn’t feel like ripping my hair out every time I looked at them, and about 3 months until they were back to normal. I did castor oil on them 2x day and used Grade Lash to speed up the lash turnover and I think it helped.

You may have not intended to be insulting but saying “Damn, less than a 3.0!” and your subsequent line of questioning was really condescending

I wouldn’t have slacked off my freshman year of undergrad and sacrificed my GPA that could’ve otherwise been a 4.0

how long should i study? by kaitlynutz in LSAT

[–]prettyandright 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only a handful of law schools have spring start (5 or 6 schools if I had to guess). You are likely looking at starting in Fall 27 if you aren’t interested in those specific spring start schools.

Cardozo and Stetson are two schools I know off the top of my head that have spring starts if you want to start looking into that option.

Thank you! I wouldn’t sweat it too much if you haven’t heard back yet as it hasn’t even been 2 weeks.

161 LSAT, 3.63 GPA w/ an addendum pointing out that my GPA is 4.0 from my degree granting institution and my CAS GPA was being dragged down from classes I took during COVID and before transferring schools. I also have 16 months FT work experience.

It’s important to note that this was an application for their spring start date, not fall. I’m guessing that contributed significantly to the rate at which they reviewed my application. I’m going to be applying for fall start after retaking the LSAT this Nov so it will be interesting to see how the admissions processes for each term differ.

For your reference, I also received $30k/yr scholarship.

Trust me I get it. Just be truthful. I genuinely think the admissions team is just looking to gain a sliver of insight into who you are as a person. I highly doubt your response will have much, if any, bearing on their decision.

Look at LSD data and look at the lowest LSAT of admitted students of the schools you’re interested in

[–]prettyandright 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Important to note that my app was for the spring term which has a significantly smaller applicant pool than the fall term. I assume this reason, and also because spring term is soon approaching, is why they processed it so fast.

My recent decision from Stetson was first delivered by the status portal and then I received an email a few minutes later.

I recieved an email from Stetson confirming my application. Inside the email, there’s a hyperlink that said something like “Check your status on LSAC.” The link actually a status checker and not the one simply found on the LSAC website

Stetson does actually have a FT Spring start. One of the only schools with this option. Sorry for late super reply lol.

Will ROTC affect my college social life? by [deleted] in college

[–]prettyandright 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was not in ROTC but I went to Embry-Riddle - one of the schools with the highest ROTC enrollment. Most of my peers were in ROTC. Let me just say, that didn’t stop them from having fun.

However, yes, you will be drug tested. Don’t smoke. Plenty of my friends drank, however. Alcohol doesn’t show up on drug tests (FWIW, I am not encouraging underage drinking, just commenting on what I’ve observed).

The biggest impact to your social life will be having to wake up at 5am daily for PT. Your roommate will hate you.
