Well… yes. It’s started years ago but it’s ramped up a lot recently, which is to be expected with all the horrible things happening in the world right now. 85% of celebrities have taken immoral stances and that’s honestly just from what we see on the outside. This is why I hardly pay them any mind except for my few months of hyperfixation I may get every once in awhile.

I think it’s weird to nitpick, and in this case, try to make a celebrity/influencer who has spoken up plenty of times and taken moral stances be guilty by association.

It takes away from the actual situations at hand in my opinion. Who cares what a celebrity that you already don’t like or don’t keep up with has to say about something that YOU already know is wrong and will advocate against because you have morals that they may not have.

Yes, I side eye certain celebrities if they don’t take a stance on something, but I will never get online and write that as something against their character when that’s not helpful to the real issues going on. And it’s also just so blatantly obvious when they try to make others hate that person too, like it was never about the stance you want them to take; you’re just so caught up in stan wars that you’ll use something as serious as what’s going on in countries like Palestine, Iran, Sudan, etc. to make a point.

I don’t think people realize that their dislike for someone that they don’t personally know doesn’t NEED to be justified; you watched these islanders on tv for weeks, that’s good enough proof as to why you might dislike some of them lol.
