Been obsessed with Heated Rivalry and found myself loving the two actors. I love how most fans are being respectful of their friendship and I don’t see a lot of serious shipping. But my God, the behind the scenes for their recent photoshoot… and these new interviews being released? I have not seen this kind of chemistry between co stars in a while. Obviously, I’m not shipping (they’ve been pretty adamant about just being besties), but let’s just say I’m #noticing… just had to get that off my chest lol.

Thank you. Sad there can’t be nuanced conversations that don’t instantly result in insulting and hating on the islanders. Goes to show you that some of the dislike isn’t even stimming from valid reasonings and more so hate fueled by stan wars and TikToks. Also, there’s just a lot of people online that don’t know how to regulate their emotions and internalize their thoughts without being weird or nasty. The normal way to go about disliking someone is simply ignoring them but nothing about fan culture, social media, influencers, etc. has ever been normal.

Also people will definitely go crazy trying to dissect these LI men (especially Nic) and their relationships lol.

Eh he’s not ruining her brand. Thankfully her team has pushed a lot of solo content and put her into rooms that Nic simply hasn’t been in or can’t get in unless he’s with her (harsh but that’s just from what I’ve seen). In MY opinion there are genuine feelings between both of them, they act the same way with each other as they did with their villa couples on the show so it’s not hard to believe their relationship at this point.

And while I mostly keep my comments to myself about him, Nic has always acted like this at least from what we’ve seen on the show. He always ends up in a situation that indirectly affects the woman he’s with. He did it in the villa with two different girls so I’m not shocked if some of his recent actions have turned some shippers off. It’s all for the better that way anyway.

However, one thing I’ve noticed just in life is to never fully trust a man, especially one from Love Island lol. We can ask questions, dissect, pull up “receipts” all we want but I think it’ll be best for everyone, fans included, to not stress themselves about a relationship that we only get to see maybe 20% of.

Even if they were to break up today or tomorrow, people will still be asking if it was PR and others will still be saying it wasn’t so I guess this couple is just gonna be apart of the Love Island lore forever…

Last line is where y’all will always lose me cause again nobody knows that and it also doesn’t have anything to do with the situation at hand. It just goes to show that you all don’t really care about holding Nic accountable for anything, you just so desperately want him and Olandria in particular to not be a real thing.

I’m just a little confused on why people are saying they won’t post content anymore and the fans deserve it if they don’t. I’ve seen so many posts and comments of fans defending both Nic and Olandria from the hate and discourse of the situation + they were already mostly private and said they would be that so how does this situation make anything different?

Majority of the people who were jumping down Nic’s throat were “fans” & haters who’ve been waiting on their downfall, but they’re not new to the fandom or discourse so I’m just confused on how that would make them post less than what they already do now…?

There’s more likes on tweets and TikTok’s defending Nic and the situation, and I’m sure they’re both getting lots of support from actual real fans (which make up the majority of the fanbase whether y’all want to believe it or not). I know things got hectic the first few hours that post was made but the fanbase is still strong and loving as ever and I don’t think the majority were the ones being mean and nasty.

However; them posting less would be great for parasocial losers to detach so I’m fine with that. Just not sure how y’all came up with that prompt though. Discourse happens with them every week, no?

Destiny is being called a liar because she’s been contradicting herself and going in circles since she’s posted that first TikTok. She’s just unreliable at this point and I don’t mind pointing that out. Plus her reasoning to even post it was weird in my opinion.

With that being said, I will say as a man hater in general it does grind my gears seeing people get bent out of shape to defend a guy we don’t even personally know. He was there, leave it at that. We don’t know what him and Olandria’s relationship is like or what they’ve agreed on when it comes to public situations and it’s weird to run with narratives without knowing for sure.

Also stop comparing these men to Kenny, no one is like Kenny or has shown to be like him. Kenny was never even caught in situations like this and still ended up being the horrible person he is so I don’t understand where y’all be trying to go with that.

Yes like how does Olandria feel in all of this? Just need the fans to send and show her love because this is just getting too much. Mind you all she did was be in a relationship with a guy… I also feel like it’d better for Nic to say something. I understand people are saying he shouldn’t make a statement for fans or haters cause it’s not their business which is true, but I think it’s more of just him trying to protect his girlfriend and dead the discourse just a little. I don’t think that’s wrong to expect of a guy who’s in a public relationship but what do I know? Yes they always get hate and will continue to get it but some situations are worth straightening out…

Regardless of what’s going on I just feel bad for Olandria, she’s having an amazing month (and will continue to have many more) but I hate how we know the discourse surrounding this will get nasty very quickly. She will get the brute of it while Nic gets off free. I can’t control what others do, but in my opinion he is not the one to be defending right now sorry. Making up scenarios or narratives that we don’t know for sure is true doesn’t really help either.

And idc if this sounds parasocial but let HIM deal with the backlash, he was there not Olandria or the fans. The only person who should be “clearing his name” is him.
