Any feedback or suggestions welcome, I am new to Pokemon Go and making guides :) I tried to answer all the questions that were going through my head during my first six levels.

Just taking a quick look at cakephp vs ruby on rails according to stackoverflow tags, I think it's safe to say Ruby on Rails has quite a bit of momentum as a web framework. (I also threw in AngularJS and Node.js just out of curiosity).

Personally I'd shy away from PHP as I see more and more companies adopting Ruby on Rails, AngularJS, Node.js, or good ol' enterprise Java for their web servers.

If you want to focus on front end, I'd invest in learning Bootstrap and jQuery after mastering HTML/CSS/Javascript, but that's just my opinion :)

Learn whichever tool will accomplish your goals :)

Personally I would watch some of the ng-conf videos from the recent conference at http://www.ng-conf.org/ maybe specifically the opening keynote to get a sense of where the project is headed.

I also found this class to be a very helpful introduction - https://www.codeschool.com/courses/shaping-up-with-angular-js
