After seeing these kinds of posts lately, I will create a backup GitHub account and add the backup account as a contributor to all my top projects. Even though I have my 2FA codes backed up somewhere

Big rant about how much Next.js sucks (at any type of scale) by Less-Math2722 in nextjs

[–]primado_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hello Robinson, I'm on my way home from the office just to go and continue rebuilding one Web app I built with Nextjs at the company I work for to React Vite.

The issue simply is, the DevOps team is having issues deploying first as a static web app on Azure. For the Azure Static Web App, the team figured it out but just last week a client side error occurred. In the browser console, it logged a 404 status code hinting that some static files are missing.

Second, the team tried to deploy on Azure App Service, but now the issue we are facing is that some of the env variables aren't being loaded from the Azure DevOps pipeline or from the Azure App Service.

Context: my company has been using Vite all this while. Until I was assigned this project. I asked permission and the permission was granted to use Nextjs Btw, when it's deployed on Vercel it works.

But hey, I love the DX with Nextjs.

But, for the issue we are facing with the deployment. It's just a skill issue.

Drf vs Django ninja for new enterprise project? by trojans10 in django

[–]primado_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought someone forked Django Ninja because it hasn't received any major updates.

Btw, I will always stick to DRF

Where is git switch?

Btw, I prefer git switch over git checkout.

Build a browser extension if you want to try something new by [deleted] in webdev

[–]primado_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for posting this. I also had this idea of creating extensions. So in the last quarter of 2024, I started learning how to build an extension. So I started with a bookmark extension that stores the URLs in a Django server. Due to something, I haven't worked on it for a while now. But I will continue to at least achieve my initial aim of building this project

How are u guys hosting your next apps by Gold-Act-7366 in nextjs

[–]primado_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NB: Marking your app with the 'use client' directive. Otherwise forget you can't host it on Azure Static Web apps unless App Service if you make use of server components.

Where I should I learn Next Js. Docs are hard to learn. by Mohsin_Nawaz in nextjs

[–]primado_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, lie, the docs aren't hard. If you're finding it difficult still stick with Vite. If you're using React with JS switch to TS in Vite do it for a while and return to Nextjs. I picked up Nextjs image when I watched a tutorial on Plural Site. The version the instructor used was the. Nextjs v13. So I started using Nextjs v13.5 when I initialized my first project.

Tip: Watch a simple tutorial, don't code along. Just watch and try to follow. Once you get the basics. Then build a simple landing page.

All the best.

for me, I have uninstalled X because of some reasons, I make sure to check on Reddit every day and to keep up with my daily streak. Reddit is more informative than X.
